Tolles Hotel in der Altstadt. Super freundliches Personal( Danke Jacob) . Angefangen vom Empfang bis zur Reinigungskraft waren alle super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Familie mit 2 Kinder im Familienzimmer. " Zimmer mit Verbindungstür.
Sehr zu empfehlen.

Le petit déjeuner est varié, bon et complet. Les lits sont super confortables et surtout le personnel est dévoué. Situation de l'hôtel est parfaite.

Super friendly staff and great breakfast with a view. Very central location right in the middle of the Old Quarter. Bed was big and super comfortable.

L'hôtel est très récent, situé dans un quartier animé de la vieille ville mais très bien isolé des bruits extérieurs.
Nous avons choisi une chambre Deluxe avec balcon, dotée d'un lit très confortable.
Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet varié, bien présenté et délicieux.
Personnel vraiment adorable et très professionnel.
L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier animé de la vieille ville mais très bien isolé du bruit extérieur.
Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel !

The service, the rooms and the food. The location is also very nice.
I have to make a special call out to Jacob who greeted us and even ensured I had breakfast for my early morning flight.

Het receptie personeel was super behulpzaam en bij aankomst uiterst vriendelijk en informatief. We hadden een 21 daagse rondreis en dit hotel is een van onze favoriete hotels. De kamer mooi, schoon en ruim en de sfeer was zeer relaxed.
Absoluut niets. Het was een geweldige start van onze 21 daagse rondreis en achteraf één van de betere 5 sterren hotels die we hebben gehad.

L’emplacement et le personnel sont supers.
Les chambres sont petites, pas de beaucoup de rangement, salle de bain minuscule. On avait une chambre communicante sans fenêtre !!! La salle de restaurant n’est pas très propre et le petit déjeuner est vraiment cheap! Cet hôtel ne vaut pas 5 étoiles, 4 au maximum

The staff were amazing from start to finish. Reception gave us a warm welcome, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable, and the hotel is elegant with lovely facilities. The food was excellent, and breakfast was a highlight with so much to choose from. The cocktails were great, and we really enjoyed the pool and the sky bar. Thank you so much for the beautiful anniversary decoration in our room, and the delicious dessert, and for the thoughtful gift at checkout. These special touches made our stay truly memorable.
We enjoyed our spa treatment, but staff conversations in the area sometimes made it hard to fully relax. The therapists themselves were lovely and very kind. A little more quiet in the spa would make it perfect.

Great location in the Old Town.
Hotel really lovely, rooftop restaurant bar and pool gives a great view over the city
Beds and pillows excellent.
Staff were super helpful and friendly.

Superb service, very pleasant and friendly staff, probably the best breakfast quality we had in South Asia. This hotel left a great memory as part of our holiday journey. In addition, I’ve received a BD cake in my room and farewell present during checkout.
There is nothing we didn’t like. Just couple of comments to set the right expectations: the rooms are large enough, but a bit smaller than you would normally get in Vietnam. The pool is small, but cosy for an evening refresh

Everything about the Proverb is excellent, from location to the beds, rooms and breakfast. But for me the standout is the staff- they couldn’t have been kinder or more responsive. A big thank you, especially to Laine, Jacob, Evan & Alan

The hotel is directly in the heart of the old town. On top of the hotel there is a nice roofbar and pool. Service was very friendly, special thanks to Jacob. I also really liked the breakfast with a lot of options, european and viatnamese food.

Excelente trato del personal, facilitándonos mejor habitación que la que reservamos ya que llegamos antes de lo previsto. Como suele ocurrir en Asia, la amabilidad del staff es extraordinaria y se agradece muchísimo
Un poco alejado de las zonas que más visitamos, pero Hanoi es tan grande que a otros visitantes puede resultarle cerca... no es por lo tanto una crítica.

Great hotel in fab location for Train Street - good rooms, lovely staff, all were so helpful. Breakfast was fabulous and with a view so that was a bonus. Lovely pool and roof top bar. Great place to stay.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, great location centrally located in the Old Quarter, extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was delicious and the view from the restaurant provided a great view of Hanoi. Bed was the most comfortable of our 2 weeks in Vietnam.
We understand with limited space it can’t be helped, however we never used the pool due to its lack of immediate pool side seating.

Great location, exceptional new hotel in the old quarter. Staff were incredibly caring and kind. Particular shout outs to Bella, Jade, Hanh & Evan. Breakfast buffet a highlight. Very accomodating for our delayed departure from Hà Nội. Will return!

Proverb Hotel's location makes it so easy to get around old quarter and french quarter so easily by foot. You are in the heart of the old quarter but on a quieter street which is amazing. Breakfast was superb! So many choices. The staff was very attentive and were always very accomodating. Plus the view from the sky bar is unforgettable! It was also my birthday (I did not tell them) but they arranged a desert to be sent to my room. Loved my stay!!

Das Hotel war sehr sehr schön, uns hat es super gefallen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Lage war auch gut. Wir würden das Hotel beim nächsten Hanoi-Besuch auf jeden Fall wiederwählen und können es gut weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit einer tollen Rooftop, gutem Frühstück und gemütlichen Zimmern. Das Personal war sehr höflich und hat einem mit jedem Wunsch geholfen. Insbesondere Jacob hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und sich gut um uns gekümmert!
Die Zimmer sind etwas klein, was bei zwei Personen mit großen Koffern etwas umständlich sein kann. Dafür ist der Preis aber unschlagbar!

Het hotel zit midden in de oude wijk. Druk en warm en niet altijd fris.
Als je dan het hotel binnen komt. Dan komt de rust, koelte en frisse geur over je heen.
Dat het hotel in de oude wijk zit. Daar kunnen ze niets aan doen verder maar daar moet je wel van houden. De drukte enz.

We loved our stay at the proverb hotel. Jacob and the team were amazing from the start greeting us with fresh drinks upon arrival. Throughout the stay everyone in the team helped us out and made us feel welcome, including some friends staying at another hotel.
The rooms were clean and spacious and always feeling fresh after being attended to each day.

Hotel is in a great location, with fantastic facilities and very attentive staff who go out of their way to look after the hotel guests. Special mention to Jacob who made sure we didn't miss out on the popular eateries and must visit places!

Heerlijk hotel in Old Quarter met alles op loopafstand. Uitgebreid en lekker (Westers en Aziatisch) ontbijt en vanuit het zwembad fantastisch uitzicht over Ha Noi. Maar het belangrijkste, het behulpzame en vriendelijke personeel.

The hotel is a real oasis in the heart of the old quarter. Really well located for all the hustle and bustle around it, and the hotel is calm and welcoming with an incredible roof top pool overlooking the city. Rooms are exceptionally clean with excellent decor and facilities. Staff were universally helpful and friendly and it was a real pleasure to stay here. We are passing through Hanoi again in a few days time and have already rebooked to come back!

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful, clean rooms. Great location.
We lost a bag & phone while travelling through Ninh Binh and the hotel staff helped to organise to get it back to us after we were contacted by a lady who had found the phone. A special shoutout to Bella from the hotel who was incredibly helpful with this.
Highly highly recommend a stay here and we can’t wait to come back :)

The Proverb hotel in Hanoi is located perfectly for whomever wants to explore the old quarter. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the guests needs. The room we stayed in was clean and had all we needed. We only had breakfast in the hotel, where the food is good although not spectacular but again the staff was always very polite and friendly. Overall a nice experience for our first days in Vietnam.
At night some of the other guests were a bit noisy and our sleep was a bit disturbed. We tried to reserve a spot in the spa and unfortunately it wasn’t available - we would have appreciated a heads up about reserving in advance. But minor things and the first one not totally in control of the hotel staff.

Excellently situated for exploring the old town. Beautifully looked after and comfortable. But above all the staff who were so friendly and helpful. It made a real difference to us to start the day with breakfast served by such cheerful, efficient and happy people. We didn’t get everybody’s name but Nyssa in particular was a real star. Reception were also very helpful in sorting out tours and offering advice.

Hotel is in a great location for sightseeing around Hanoi, everywhere is in walking distance.
The staff are outstanding, so friendly and efficient probably the best hotel we have stayed in.

Lo mejor del hotel es, sin duda, su equipo humano. Desde nuestra llegada hicieron que nuestra estancia fuera sensacional. El desayuno buffet es muy completo, con productos frescos y de calidad. Ubicación excelente, habitaciones impecables. Un 10 en hospitalidad y profesionalidad.

The best hotel I’ve stayed at so far. Proverb has set the bar very high — beautiful colonial style, a great room, excellent breakfasts, but above all, fantastic service. From check-in to the moment I got into the taxi to the airport, everything was handled at the highest level. Not once did I feel like just another customer standing at the front desk, but like a guest — and a very important one at that.
I’d especially like to thank Jacob. He helped me solve a problem with a tour I had booked through GetYourGuide — he found a direct contact for the tour operator and made sure they got in touch with me. On the day I was leaving, I also realized I couldn’t send the postcard I had prepared because it was Sunday. Jacob simply told me to leave it with him and that he would send it for me later.
These are exactly the kinds of things you remember most about a hotel. If I ever opened my own hotel, Jacob would be the first person I’d call and ask to run it.
Definitely a place I’ll come back to!

По уборке в Ханое всегда вопросики). Я здесь уже месяц, в этот раз все было отлично, кроме того, что с момента моего заезда под столом лежал чужой носок, и так было несколько дней, пока я не попросила его убрать. Это единственная претензия к отелю

Brilliant location. Excellent staff especially Jacob who was so welcoming and helpful when my wife suffered a medical episode and had to get an ambulance to hospital. A great little hotel.
Pool bar was lovely, but could do with some cover for the rain.

The staff was the best part of the stay. Everyone went above expectations. A special thank you to Christian in the dining area and Hanh in the lobby area. These two individuals made our experience exceptional!
The gym and pool are a bit small but for the value of the hotel, it's worth it. The buffet was also nice but nothing crazy. These amenities aren't the best but totally worth the price tag.

Absolutely loved our stay at Proverb Hotel. It was our first stop after a long flight and very welcome. The hotel lobby smells fantastic and became a comfort at the end of each day. The staff were super helpful, friendly and rembered us on our second stay a week later. Buffet breakfast was delicious - the pho was clean and a great way to kick off some big days.
Location is fantastic too - right in Old Town and a short walk to some excellent food, bars and the lake.
Rooftop bar/pool area is small relative to some other hotels but quality.

Friendly staff, perfect location, lovely room and nice breakfast. Nice view from roof bar!

Everything! The building is elegant and new, well decorated. Having breakfast on the top floor was a fantastic way to start our last day in Hanoi. The food was very tasty and well presented. We tried the swimming pool which was also very nice, not big but clean and with a fantastic view. The staff was extremely kind and professional, our flight was very late in the evening and they gave us the opportunity to take a shower and relax in the hotel until the pick up to the airport. Everything was perfect, well done.

Zeer mooie kamers en heel toegankelijke accommodatie pal in het oude centrum, je krijgt echt een 5 sterren behandeling als gast.
Gebruik van het zwembad is minder evident op bepaalde uren omdat je door het restaurant moet passeren met natte kleding.

Our stay at the Proverb Hotel was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. It is a charming building in the middle of the old quarter, but very calm, quiet and tastefully decorated. The amenities including the rooftop pool and bar are spotless and contribute to the allround 5* quality provided. All staff are extremely professional and take special care of each guest which adds to the personable atmosphere. Special thanks go to Bella, who is flawlessly professional, knowledgeable and charming as is Oskar at the reception. A very special place indeed.
As said, everything was exceptional. The only thing to say could be that the room was a little on the small side.

Great location, great breakfast, very friendly people and great service. Pool with an awesome view of Hanoi. Clean room, good bed.
The windows weren't soundproof. At the 1st floor, you could hear a lot of street sounds. Afterwards I learned there was more noise than usual because the national team played a heated soccer match :)

We loved our stay here. The staff were so welcoming and kind. The hotel is perfectly located in Old Hanoi and has a lovely roof top pool and restaurant (with a lovely breakfast). We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I stayed at the Proverb Hotel for two nights while visiting Hanoi as a short break during a business trip to Kuala Lumpur.
It’s a great little hotel, bang in the middle of the Old Quarter. It’s an easy walk to pretty much everywhere you’re likely to want to go, and Grab taxis are readily available. If you’re visiting Vietnam, make sure you have the Grab app on your phone — it’s the local Uber equivalent and a game changer for getting around.
The hotel has a boutique Paris feel to it. The rooms are small but perfectly formed, with comfortable beds, good air conditioning and an excellent shower. There are sensible bedside tables with somewhere to put and charge your phone, and logical light switches rather than the increasingly common wired controls that require an instruction manual to turn the lights off. Two towels are provided, and an extra duvet is available if needed.
Mine had a street view, which I enjoyed, and the rooftop bar is a real bonus and a good place for a drink after a day exploring Hanoi.
The staff were consistently friendly and very helpful. A particular shout-out to Vivian who was excellent.
Overall, a very comfortable, well-designed hotel in a superb location. I’d happily stay here again.

It is in an excellent location in the Old quarter. Close to every visiting site. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was very elegant and the staff were exceptional.

L'emplacement est idéal, l'établissement très propre et les petits déjeuners parfait. La chambre bien que petite est fonctionnelle et agréble.

Cramped pool area, the compendium was basically a list of charges from the fridge to soap dish. That felt unfriendly and the complete opposite to the hotel staff and feel.

It has style and wow factor. Nice Art deco style rooms. Great views on the roof top and for dinner or breakfast, Staff were super helpful.
The pool was smaller than expected, but still amazing being on the roof. The shower was luke warm.

Myself and my partner stayed here on the 29th of August and we could not fault our stay! The staff were incredible, the room was spacious and spotless, breakfast was a wide variety! The value for money was really worth it. And the location was perfect, only a 5 minute walk from the famous night market! Thank you to the staff for making our stay so incredible! Also shout out to my guy Hanh who carried our bags to our bus for us and was so incredibly kind to me!

Proverbial luxury? Perhaps. The hotel was certainly an oasis of peace and comfort in otherwise bustling and hot old quarter Hanoi. Room was comfortable and sufficient to my needs. The lighting in hotel was perfect - not too bright and not too dark. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Ah, and it is stone throw away from the Train Street.

Het is het meest hygiënische hotel wat je in Vietnam tegen komt. De vijf sterren is het zeker waard! Personeel doet zijn best en buigt zich in alle bochten om de wensen van de klanten te vervullen. Vooral Jacob is super aan het onthaal. Zeer professioneel.

The staff at the hotel made the stay, especially Jacob in customer service. He was exceptional going above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
Breakfast was good also with a reasonable selection across a variety of cuisines.
Rooms were lovely and the view out the window gave a great view of Hanoi.

Wir wurden herzlich Willkommen geheißen mit einem Getränk.
Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und vorallem sehr sauber. Für ein Stadthotel vollkommen ausreichend. Die Klimaanlage hat bestens funktioniert was bei den Temperaturen in Hanoi für uns wichtig war.
Das gesamte Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.
Über das Frühstück können wir auch nur Gutes berichten.
Wir können das Hotel Guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen wenn ihr in der Old Town einen schönen ruhigen Rücktrittsort sucht.

The most hospitable staff, great breakfast, very good location. Everything about this place is great, and I will come back here for sure. Pool has a great view and the restaurant also serves food that is even tastier than restaurant around the hotel. Overall amazing.

It’s very centrally located, right in the old quarter in Hanoi which means you’re always very close to all the good attractions.
The rooms are fantastic, the beds are extremely comfortable to sleep in, the turn down service is lovely with exceptional housekeeping staff, and the noise level at night is still low even given the central location, which all makes for a fantastic nights sleep.
The staff help to create a lovely atmosphere, especially Jacob who is exceptional and always willing to help, but everyone contributes to a fantastic stay and a fantastic experience which really elevated our stay in Hanoi.
The amenities are great, with a full selection in the bathroom which is really helpful, the breakfast has a nice variety of options, which is great considering we were travelling with a vegetarian, and the pool area on the roof is lovely as well!

Luxurious feel, phenomenal service. Jacob helped us with a lot of questions and made sure we had a comfortable stay and help even after checkout as we had a late flight. 10/10

Le cose migliori dell' hotel sono lo staff, la posizione, la pulizia e la comodità del letto.
La manutenzione della stanza che però sembra essere una cosa comune in tutti gli alberghi visitati in Vietnam, nulla di esagerato ma comunque non è mai bello vedere applique che si tiene al muro solo grazie ai cavi elettrici, oppure buchi nel muro stuccati alla buona. La palestra e la piscina sono veramente piccole.

Nous avons tout aimé dans cet établissement : les chambres, la literie, la propreté, l accueil, la piscine sur le toit, le restaurant et les massages proposés en supplément. Very clean and new, but in a relevant style that suits the area. Staff were exceptional, always helpful, polite and smiling. Room was very spacious and beautifully appointed. The rooftop bar and pool was very nice, although we didn’t get a chance to use it.

Very nice modern boutique hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. Staff is super friendly and willing to help.

1週間滞在しましたが、どこに行くにもとても便利なロケーションで、朝食が本当に美味しかったです。最終日にハロン湾クルーズで一泊したのですが、チェックアウトの日程を変更くださり、チェックアウト後にスーツケースを預かってくださり、戻った日には深夜便ならシャワー使って良いですよと至れり尽くせりで親切にしてくださいました。ありがとうございます。

This hotel was a great choice.
The central location made it easy to explore the city on foot and experience Hanoi’s culture, food, and atmosphere.

Het is een nieuw hotel van 9 maanden oud. Personeel super vriendelijk. Kamers heel goed en schoon. Zwembad op het dak, ontbijt met een niet te vergeten uitzicht op de 11e. Een hele druk stad maar het hotel is een oase van rust. Midden in old quarter. Naast heel veel leuke restaurantjes en winkeltjes.

A wonderful oasis in the middle of Hanoi. Proverb sits on Bát Sứ, right on the edge of the Old Quarter, and the moment you step off the street the noise drops away.
The building is beautifully presented and the design was a real highlight for us — contemporary Indochine styling with warm timber, marble and handcrafted detail throughout, all done with genuine care.
Our room was on the 10th floor, spacious and spotless, looking out over the city. Waking up to that view is worth the stay on its own.
The staff are what lift it. Genuinely helpful, endlessly patient, and clearly focused on making sure you're comfortable and happy every day you're there. Nothing was a problem.
The location is excellent. You're a few minutes from the Hàng Đào–Đồng Xuân Night Market, where they close the streets off on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, and Đồng Xuân Market is just up the road.
Hoàn Kiếm Lake is an easy walk, as are Train Street and the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel, and we walked from the door to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Presidential Palace — about half an hour, and worth doing on foot. St Joseph's Cathedral, the phở on Bát Đàn and Chả Cá Lã Vọng are all a short stroll, and a Grab from the front door gets you anywhere in the city in minutes.
Central without being in the thick of it — and after a long walk in the middle of a Hanoi summer, stepping back through those doors into the air-conditioned calm is a very welcome thing indeed.
We'd stay again without hesitation.

We stayed at the Proverb Hotel for a couple of nights at the beginning of our trip around Vietnam, and the stay there was so pleasant that it got our journey off to the best possible start.
The hotel is centrally located on a quieter street, yet it is strategically positioned for reaching all of Hanoi's main attractions—even on foot.
The room was very comfortable, the attention to details in the décor was evident, and the bed pillows were the most comfortable I have ever slept on.
Finally, the stay was made even more enjoyable by the staff; everyone was extremely kind and helpful. A special thank you goes to Jakob and Bella for their kindness and helpfulness, they were always smiling and ready to give useful advice.

Heel mooi, fijn en luxe hotel, waarbij de kamers relatief klein waren. Het hotel is een zeer fijne plek op een goede locatie om Hanoi te ontdekken en verkennen. Het personeel is super aardig, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De service is uitstekend en je voelt je hier absoluut welkom. Een prachtige lobby en een mooie rooftop bar. Het uitzicht boven is prachtig. We hebben het in dit hotel ontzettend naar onze zin gehad en waren met name zeer te spreken over het hard werkende en vriendelijke personeel.

Great location, very enthusiastic staff, comfy bed & bathroom
Couple of things. The photos possibly flatter a bit, spaces not quite as glitzy as pictured. Also the air conditioned lovely lobby reception area could well be used as a drinks, cocktail space. I think they are missing out by not doing this (the bar is there)

Excellent Hotel in Hanoi, stayed 2 nights and it was fantastic. Great breakfast and lovely clean rooms, great aircon. Very helpful staff. Excellent location in the old town of Hanoi, great restaurants near by.

Great location, super friendly and attentive staff. The staff were the highlight literally running to open the door every time we arrived and wanting to serve with kindness. The buffet was amazing with a great variety and the location is perfect for shopping in the Old quarter. The beds were SO comfortable I had the best sleeps! Would highly recommend. Special mention to Bella who was the most lovely receptionist and gave us amazing tips on her favourite places to eat.

Having stayed in 3 different Old Quarter Hanoi hotels across 3 weeks (2 nights in each), I can honestly say the Proverb was way better than the other 2 by far! And the same price if not cheaper. Beautiful hotel in a superb location. Roof top pool and bar were both really lovely. As was the restaurant space with glass on 3 sides and glorious views. Breakfast itself was fabulous too. Nice guests, helpful happy staff...

Incredible service with fantastic team. Hotel is in Hanoi's Old Town. Several sightseeing points are in walking distance.

Beautiful hotel on excellent location. Very helpful staff. As we had flight back to Europe very late at night we were able to leave our luggage at the hotels until late evening and they offered us to take a shower before departure.

Loved staying here. The staff were awesome, the location was perfect with everything right on the street from food to shops and massages. Everything is about a 10 min walk away including market street, the lake, train street etc. So much to explore and the staff are happy to help. They kept our bags for one night while we went to Halong bay and greeted us when we came back. The breakfast, bar and pool were great with good service and a good view.

Heel goed hotel. Weinig op aan te merken. Prachtig ingang en lounge. Fijn personeel, heel professioneel en niet opdringerig. Ontbijt was een van de beste tijdens onze vakantie, super schoon, vers en prachtig uitzicht. We had a wonderful stay at Proverb Hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff were exceptional - friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The hotel was beautifully decorated and felt very luxurious. It was in a great location, close to train street, local shops and restaurants shops and bars in the French Quarter. The staff, especially Jacob on reception, were happy to go above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. We stayed in one of the larger rooms and enjoyed the extra space this gave us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a calm and beautiful sanctuary away down the craziness of the local area! It gave us the best of both worlds.

We had a wonderful stay at Proverb Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi.
The biggest highlight was the exceptional service from the staff. Jacob was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Duc Hanh and Dylan were also very helpful, and every staff member we met was courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it easy to explore Hanoi's Old Quarter. We truly appreciated all the recommendations and assistance provided during our stay.

Modern and new facilities. Really clean. Great bed for a good sleep. They stored our luggage for us for 5 days while we did the Ha Giang Loop and we returned to the hotel for one more night. Good breakfast options. Great location in the old quarter. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are on the smaller side but still adequate space.
Some rooms have a clear window into the bathroom from the bedroom so you can see into the shower and toilet. There is a switch to turn privacy screen on/off. Make a request if you do not want this.

Heerlijk ontbijt, elke dag anders, lekkere koffie. Medewerkers bij de receptie hielpen me toen er iets misging met de betaling van een taxi en we geen cash hadden. Ze schoten het geld voor, zo behulpzaam. Locatie is top, restaurant is heel goed, mooi uitzicht. En lekker rustig, klein hotel, fijne kamers.

Uitstekende locatie, prettig en vriendelijk personeel, schone kamers. Kortom, absolute aanrader als je voor een paar dagen in Hanoi verblijft. Het zwembad op het dak is niet groot maar wel heel lekker na een dag struinen door de stad.

If we’re ever in Hanoi again, we will 100% be coming back to the Proverb hotel. The staff were so accommodating especially Jacob at concierge! He helped us with local recommendations and made our stay amazing. I felt safe, relaxed and at home at the Proverb.

Great location in the old quarter. Staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean.
We had interconnecting rooms on level 2, and the street-fronting room was very noisy, while the other had no windows. I'm a light sleeper, so I always have earplugs, but even then, I was woken by the street noise. Pool and gym are very small but great to have access to given the price and location.

Breakfast was ample, no noodle station or egg station but you can order from their ala carte menu. Sky bar was nice. The heart of the hotel though lies within their staff who made everybody feel at home and made sure we had a comfortable stay.

Jacob was an absolute legend as concierge and recommended and booked two fantastic tours to Ha Long Bay and a jeep tour of wider Hanoi. 100% recommend using this service as much easier than organising yourself and also easier for a local to manage the details.

Excelent hotel in the middle of Hanoi, close to the main sightseeing places. Hotel is very friendly and Helpfull. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Very good Restaurant with a 360 view over the city that serves an excelent breakfast.

Amazing find in the heart of the Old Quarter. Hotel has everything you would expect including onsite Soa and Gym facilities. The roof top pool , bar and restaurant are perfect and they do a great breakfast.
Location wise it’s an easy walk to all of the attractions that Hanoi has to offer.
Staff are fantastic and on hand to help make those important reservations and arrange transportation.

Ein wirklich schönes Hotel an einer super Lage. Der Eingangsbereich ist sehr stilvoll und das ganze Hotel wirkt modern und hochwertig. Das Zimmer sah zwar etwas anders aus als auf den Fotos, war aber trotzdem schön. Alles war sauber und ich habe den kleinen Balkon sehr geschätzt. Die Dusche war ebenfalls super – das Wasser war angenehm weich. Auch der Room Service war top: Das Essen kam schnell, war frisch und lecker. Die Pommes waren etwas fettig, aber alles andere war wirklich gut. Ein absolutes Highlight war die Rooftop-Bar mit den besten Mojitos, die wir bisher in Vietnam getrunken haben. Das Personal war während des ganzen Aufenthalts sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist ebenfalls perfekt – der Hoan-Kiem-See sowie viele Restaurants und Geschäfte sind in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar.
Das Zimmer war leider sehr hellhörig. Unsere Nachbarn waren an einem Abend ziemlich laut und da das Hotel keine Ohrenstöpsel hatte, war die Nacht nicht besonders angenehm. Ausserdem waren Bett und Kissen für unseren Geschmack etwas zu hart. Das Frühstück war okay, hat uns aber nicht überzeugt. Die Croissants und Waffeln waren bereits recht trocken, obwohl wir nicht spät dort waren. Deshalb haben wir an einigen Tagen lieber ausserhalb gefrühstückt.

Some rooms had wash basins outside the bathrooms which is ridiculous. The rooms were also quite small.

Location was great! Access to restaurants, shopping and the walk to the lake was interesting and fun interactions with locals. The breakfast was terrific, great food choices, staff were wonderful & accomodating. The rooftop pool/bar area was ok.
The room was slightly small and we had a rattle in the a/c which they tried to fix quickly. We had an early exit time and staff forgot to supply a breakfast pack that we organised. No a big problem but attention to detail was amiss when we checked out.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location was great and within walking distance to the lake, train street, shops and a lot more (we are keen walkers). The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing with a lot to choose from.

We told the hotel on booking and on arrival that we were strict vegan. We were reassured that there would be options available for the included breakfast. On visiting the restaurant nothing was labelled with dietary details, and on asking the staff didn't seem to know what veganism was, so we left without being able to eat the breakfast which was included in the price that we paid. Our leaving early was noted and we were approached by staff to ask why we left, I explained the reasons and they did offer to accommodate us. I asked if they could maybe provide some simple pastries or pancakes, and after checking they came back to us and said that they could do this, I confirmed that these would definitely be vegan, and they said that they would be. I confirmed with the staff member that if I consumed dairy that I could become quite ill, they then came back to me to advise that the pastries and pancakes would actually be gluten free, and not vegan at all which COMPLETELY erased any confidence I had in eating at the hotel. People die due to food allergies, and for a hotel that promotes itself as being high quality to make such a basic and fundamental error is both extremely poor service and potentially dangerous too. It would be easy to say that this mistake was made do to veganism being uncommon in Vietnam, however this isn't the case, one of the reasons that we chose it for our honeymoon is because there are so many vegan restaurants in the country and as a whole it was very easy for us to eat there. It would have been far better (and safer) for the hotel to be honest and to say that they simply couldn't cater for vegans. The soundproofing of the rooms for both external and internal noise is very poor. We stayed in a corner suite on the 8th floor and we could hear all of the horns and commotion from the streets below, and we could also hear noise from the hallway and neighbouring rooms.

We stayed with Proverb for three separate bookings in between excursions elsewhere in Vietnam. They were so welcoming and kind enough to store our luggage in between our multiple stays. It was so amazing to arrive late at night, tired from an excursion elsewhere in Vietnam and have the comfort, cleanliness, and welcoming staff of Proverb waiting for us (the rooftop bar and pool were a must in the middle of hot Hanoi days after exploring). They gave us recommendations for activities, arranged airport transportation, and even gave us a farewell gift after the week. By far our favorite hotel we have stayed in throughout Southeast Asia!

This hotel is amazing! The staff and service was exceptional throughout the entire hotel. A great buffet breakfast and everything was very clean. The spa facilities are lovely and open late too. Our room was upgraded on arrival as well- room was gorgeous albeit a bit small, but enough for a couple. Bella in customer service was particularly amazing! 100% would recommend.

I have to mention that one young man from the staff, unfortunately, I forgot his name, was extremely professional and helpful. He came to assist us because my husband had back pain and we were considering a massage. Instead, he recommended special patches and gave us very professional advice, explaining that a massage could actually be risky in that situation. We really appreciated his care and honesty.

The quietness considering you are right in the middle of the old quarter. The building is built with sound proof sealed units and concrete walls. You don't hear the sound of the scooter horns.

This was one of the best hotel experiences during our 2 week trip through Vietnam. We booked the Proverb due to its location and beautiful design, and it fully exceeded our expectations.
Staff:
The staff was very attentive. They predicted our needs during check ins and breakfast services and were happy to offer recommendations. This was an anniversary trip and they left us a very cute little swan setup and a welcome cake! We booked some getaway trips ourselves (to Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay) but I wish we had booked through the hotel instead, because I think it would have been more reliable quality.
Spa:
We also booked spa services, a couples massage and facial for 90 minutes, and really loved it! Facilities were clean and relaxing, the technicians were attentive to our needs with the right amount of focus and pressure, and overall it was so worth it.
Hotel Amenities:
The room was really pretty, and the design of the whole hotel felt very considered. The room was cozy in size but that's to be expected and the layout was very comfortable. Everything was clean and felt new. We came during a heat wave and the AC was an excellent escape, as was the swimming pool (even though it was on the roof and still a bit hot). The room was also very very quiet, both to other guests and the exterior. The Proverb also had the best hotel food of our trip! The breakfast spread was fresh every day, with a wide variety of Vietnamese and Western options and an easy way to start every day.
Location:
This was the ideal location! Still in the Old Quarter, but right on the edge so we avoided the loudest zone. The hotel is on a corner and feels close to everything but is in a more secluded area off the main road. We felt very safe and less like we'd be hit by a scooter walking on this block haha. Its also a few blocks from a street with all shops that sell dried herbs and I loved walking through the delicious smells going to and from the hotel.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience too much as we were passing through Hanoi so arrived late and left early, that said, from my brief experience, I’d highly recommend.

This place was amazing. The air conditioning was always perfect, both in common areas and in our room. We had our own thermostat. Beds were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing, with several Vietnamese as western options daily. Coffee included with breakfast was very good. The fitness center was also quite good for a hotel, with 3 cardio machines, a cable, and weights up to 25kg. Staff were all lovely and helpful. I would definitely recommend to others.

Loved every part of our stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to help. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed — the lobby smelled amazing, staff opened the doors for us, took our bags straight to our room, and offered us a welcome drink while we sat comfortably during check-in.
Our room was spotless and beautifully presented, with a huge, super comfortable bed and a powerful hot shower. Free tea, coffee, and bottled water were replenished daily, and robes and slippers were provided for the spa and pool facilities.
We had the buffet breakfast every morning and it was excellent, with a great variety of food including fresh fruit, pastries, salads, soup, bread, hot items like sausages and bacon, plus made-to-order options such as eggs, crêpes, and pho. We also ordered room service a couple of times, which was both delicious and efficient.
On our last day, our transport wasn’t arriving until 8pm, and the hotel kindly allowed us to stay in the lobby all day. We also used the restaurant on the 11th floor for dinner before leaving.
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and within walking distance of so many iconic attractions.
Throughout our stay, we also had a member of staff available via WhatsApp who responded incredibly quickly to any questions we had and gave us great recommendations for nearby attractions and places to eat.
Overall, a fantastic stay and honestly couldn’t fault a thing.

The staff were very friendly. Jacob was very helpful and told us what was happening around the area. The room was very clean and the breakfast was really good. When we arrived the second time after our Halong Bay cruise, they welcomed us like family. And when we were leaving, they gave us a little memento to remember them by. Our stay at Proverb Hotel Hanoi from May 14–16 was overall very pleasant, mainly because of the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and surprised with a birthday cake in the room, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the stay feel extra special. The room was also a good size, especially for a hotel located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and it felt comfortable throughout our stay.
The hotel’s location is another huge advantage — it’s very convenient for walking around the Old Quarter and close to many great restaurants and cafés. We also appreciated the hotel amenities and the cozy atmosphere of the property. What stood out the most, however, was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Despite our very early check-out at 4:30 AM, they prepared packed snacks for us to bring to the airport, which we genuinely appreciated. They even gave us a small farewell gift upon check-out, a simple gesture that really warmed our hearts and made the experience memorable.
The main area that could still use improvement would be the breakfast buffet. While the food was decent and enough to start the day, we felt the variety of options could be expanded further to make the experience even better. Aside from that, our stay was smooth and enjoyable overall.

Nous avons aimé les chambres communicantes que nous avions. Tout était très complet. La salle de bain était très bien et propre.
Nous avons apprécié le rooftop, avec sa piscine et son bar avec la vue sur toute la ville.
Le petit déjeuner était aussi complet.
Nous avons aussi pu bénéficier du service de transfert de l’hôtel avec un chauffeur qui est venu nous chercher à l’aéroport.

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. Such a great location in what we felt was the best part of town. The staff were all such a pleasure and looked after us our whole stay. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, the room was clean and modern, the pool was wonderful to hang out in after a day exploring Hanoi and we enjoyed an evening cocktail on the terrace looking at the beautiful view of Old Quarter and beyond. Breakfast was solid and offered a good variety of options. We would definitely stay again!
The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the music at the upstairs bar/pool area - it was loud and not relaxing and didn’t match the beautiful view which could have been improved with something more ambient to relax and enjoy the view with a cocktail in the evening.

Die Lage war grandios. Das Frühstück und vor allem der Cappuccino war der beste den wir in unseren Hotels in Vietnam hatten. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber und das Personal immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and stayed there for a total of 2 nights.
Room:
The bed was comfortable, the towels and bed linen smelled nice, and everything was clean. However, the air conditioning had a slightly musty smell.
Breakfast:
There was a wide variety of fresh food, ranging from savory to sweet, with especially many vegetarian options. You could even order an omelet or a freshly made crêpe. Oat milk for the coffee would have been a nice addition.
Location:
Right in the middle of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. For us personally, the neighborhood was a bit too busy and hectic.
Staff:
Very accommodating and attentive. One staff member, Jacob, even gave us a small gift from the hotel when we checked out.

From the moment staff opened the entrance doors & welcomed us in, we were treated with the utmost care & kindness. Beautiful hotel we had the deluxe room on the corner, and it was perfect, Breakfast was fantastic, staff were amazing and so helpful, excellent location. Highly recommend - will be booking again.

The Proverb is in a great location amongst the bustle of the old quarter. We had a corner room which was large and very comfortable. Breakfast at the Proverb is really nice. There is a great selection of choices both western and Vietnamese and you can have eggs and crepes to order. The breakfast room is also beautiful. The rooftop pool is small but does the job if you want a cool down. The staff are very attentive and helpful. Thanks to Jacob and Lucy especially.
A parasol/umbrella by the pool loungers would be good as there is no shade up on the rooftop.

Beautiful oasis in the bustling Hanoi. Staff always attentive and greeted you with a refreshment. It was our wedding anniversary and there was the most delicious cake in a heart shape in our room. The rooftop pool was a very welcome relief from the heat.

Relatively new in a great part of the old town, Proverb offered a very comfortable stay, lovely breakfast, roof top bar and spacious room with lovely outlook over the old town. We were on level 6 in the Premier Double Room and it was exceptional.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and all the facilities are in a really good state. The room we booked was small but comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff is super friendly and speaks good English. The breakfast is amazing with loads of options.

We've just spent 4 nights at the Proverb. What a beautiful hotel with super friendly staff, who could not have been more helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast provides a great choice and eggs are cooked to order..
Although situated in the heart of the old quarter, it is in a slightly quieter street providing a calm oasis from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. We have booked to come back for our final night on 5th May. Looking forward to it.

Proverb Hotel suited us perfectly. All of the staff were always kind, helpful, informative and understanding (even when we mis-keyed the code into the room safe and set off an alarm).
On the western, central edge of the old town - ancient quarter, however it is described - it is a really great spot. You think it’s stuck amongst skinny, impassable streets, but it’s in a reasonably accessible place for Grab cars/taxis and close to the hustle and bustle we craved for our modern experience of traditional Hanoi. It’s a bit of an oasis because the hotel provides comfortable rooms that are snug but with enough space to fit suitcases and move around. Very clean and kept so by the lovely staff, we found it a great base for our Hanoi explorations. Lots of local food joints, artisan craft and art shops, reputable massage places, and - thankfully - many local, day-to-day businesses.
We loved the breakfast on level 11 (I think!) that provided the usual nod to western tastes for eggs, bacon etc. But they also had fresh, sweet seasonal fruits and local breakfast favourites such as Pho and Banh Cuon and Xoi Xeo (please Google these) which were really good. The sky bar and rooftop pool at the Proverb Hotel were wonderful - a dip and bit of sun in the early afternoon if too hot to be out and about, and a 360 degree view of Hanoi at night with a cocktail.
Proverb’s location is great for walking: if you’re okay with up to 1 to 2km and depending upon the time of day and temp, and working you’re way over to Ho Ci Minh’s Mausoleum, perhaps via Train Street or the old Imperial City or the Temple of Literature or up to West Lake for an afternoon or evening meal, and into other areas into the old town. These are all options and depend on which direction you want to take. A stop in a cafe for a cool drink or ice cream or a refreshing coconut on the street are available in abundance.

We loved this hotel and honestly feel like it spoiled us from day one in Vietnam. 😂
The design is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and both the breakfast and restaurant were excellent. We were welcomed with a delicious drink, our room was ready before check-in time, and everyone made sure we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived.
The room was not huge, but it was exactly what we needed after a long flight—comfortable, stylish, and the perfect place to recover, regroup, and remember what time zone we were in. 😆
The hotel itself is gorgeous inside, and the rooftop pool was a great little escape when we wanted to relax with a drink and pretend we had fully adjusted to travel life.
One of our smartest decisions was booking the couples spa package just a few hours after landing. Absolute genius move. Highly recommend doing this before making any major life decisions while jet-lagged. 😂
The location in Hanoi Old Quarter is lively, busy, and full of energy. Reception also sent us to a gold store to exchange money with a great rate… though I must admit I did not notice much gold being sold. 🤔😂
One of the sweetest touches: they would walk us to our car and even give my husband coffee, which quickly became part of his daily routine for nearly two weeks. We appreciated it every single day.
This was the perfect place to begin our Vietnam adventure, and we’re so grateful we chose it. Thank you to all the staff! You re excellent!

Das Hotel ist ein kleines Refigium mitten in der Altstadt. Für uns war es mit insgesamt drei Nächten eine „Base“ mit unglaublich gutem Service und den besten Mitarbeitern und Mitarbeiterinnen.
Alle sind professionell aber darüber hinaus so freundlich und zuvorkommend, herzlich und nett.
Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt!
Die Betten sind traumhaft gut, die Badezimmer einfach genial mit Blick über die Stadt, das Frühstück super und der Pool sehr schön!
Die Gepäckaufbewahrung war problemlos und die Möglichkeit vor der langen Rückreise nochmal im Spa Bereich zu duschen ganz wunderbar!
Danke an alle Mitarbeiter für diese schöne Zeit bei euch! Wir würden jederzeit wieder in dieses Hotel gehen!
Das wirklich einzige, was störend war, sind die schweren Stühle im Frühstücksraum. Wenn früh morgens der Betrieb losgeht, ist es im Stockwerk darunter laut, weil die Stühle nicht über den Holzboden gleiten. Wir hatten zwei mal die wunderschönen Zimmer ganz oben, und wussten, dass wir davon aufwachen würden. Ansonsten ist das Hotel perfekt schallgedämpft und man hört nichts aus den anderen Zimmern oder Türen, die ins Schloss fallen.
Das wirklich einzige, was störend war, sind die schweren Stühle im Frühstücksraum. The location was very good as in the old/historic side of the city. Easy access to bars, restaurants and a good, easy walk to local sights and shopping opportunities. Our room was a bit small with a large comfortable bed and small bathroom. The staff were terrific and helpful in many ways. Breakfast was excellent, choice of food was great and coffee was really good. The pool was good, well maintained but we didn’t use the upstairs bar during our stay.
Room could have been bigger. Had a few issues in the room but the engineer came quickly and did a good job.

Lovely friendly staff. Good location right in the heart of the Old Quarter but on a quieter street. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with items to order off a menu in addition to a very wide buffet selection.

Bertha in front desk was exceptional! Everyone at Proverb was very helpful, nice and welcoming. They all made our stay comfortable and such a great experience considering they have not been open long! Thank you!!!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, sehr freundliches Personal, sehr saubere Zimmer.
Das Frühstück hat Potential nach oben, Säfte waren nicht frisch- es waren Wasser- Gemische, wenig Käse, Brot/ Brötchen eher schlecht.

Lovely little boutique hotel right in the heart of old quarter. Close to train street, bustling cafes and eateries, great to just walk around. Lively little roof top bar and great, happy staff
There was nothing about the property we didn’t like. If we could make any comment it would be that there wasn’t any shade on the roof top and possibly somewhere to sit after having a swim. I.e a lounger or day bed, a couple of umbrellas to shade during the heat of the day

It was in a great location, easy access to the old quarter and French quarter.
There was limited shade opportunities on the rooftop, which during the day made it difficult to enjoy the roof and pool.

I stayed at many hotels in the old quarter in Hanoi in the past years but this one is my favorite. It is central and the staff is wonderful. the rooftop Bar is great.

Very central location, easy walkable anywhere in the old quarter. And it offers a clean, cool and comfortable retreat from the hubbub when needed. The staff are super friendly and helpful, really outstanding service.

Etablissement récent et de belle qualité, situé en plein coeur du vieux Hanoï.
Bonne insonorisation. Bonne literie.
Personnel très agréable, attentif à vos besoins, parlant bien anglais.
Très bon PdJ buffet.

Pool was very cold, I only booked the hotel because there were reviews stating pool was heated however you could not use pool as it was too cold and seating at pool area is odd, lounges are upstairs where you can’t even see the pool

Location was ideal , in the old quarter and a short walk from most of the main attractions. The staff were first class and did everything we asked and more to make our stay so good. We stayed 3 times during our week in Hanoi and they allowed us to leave luggage whilst leaving for a couple of days cruising and also for a 2 day trip to Cao Bang. This made our lives so much easier. Highly recommend. Basic rooms are quite small in size.
No food or room service after 10pm although we appreciate this is a small boutique hotel.

Everything! Especially the staff. Special shout out to Jacob in FoH, and Archie and Neeja up in the restaurant. This was by far the best stay I had in Vietnam and I was a little sad to leave after my two nights.
I was on Level 10 right under the resturant so I would hear the movement of tables and chairs in the morning at breakfast. Which was a little annoying to wake up to but a good alarm clock to start the day!

Hotel location in the old was a great location
Only comment was the room was a little on the small size room 1001 although the room was quiet during the night was a little noisy from the dinning room above on the 11th floor , also little disappointed by the sky bar and pool , the seating area round the pool had a bad smell most likely from the sewer vent pipe also found the pool very cloudy

Honestly the staff were the best. Amazing hotel and amazing service. I am very happy with the service they provided. Rooms were also really comfortable. Perfect location as well.
Honestly, everything was perfect. The first night when we checked in, I realised the pillows were not clean and I found hair on them. When I told them they apologised a lot and immediately fixed it. They were the best.

Boede her 2 gange på vores 3 måneders rejse i Asien.
Alt i alt et smukt sted. Høj service, smukke værelser god morgenmad. Holder meget af området i Old town.
Personalet er venligt. Det går meget stærkt og man føler lidt at der ikke er overladt plads til den almindelige dialog mellem mennesker. Det mangler den sidste del af varme som jeg oplevede mange andre steder i Vietnam. Det er desværre nok hvad der sker når der er så høj focus på perfektion. Dette trækker desværre ned på den samlede oplevelse.

Bel immeuble bien situé dans le vieux quartier d'Hanoï.
Chambre confortable.
Très bons petits déjeuners servis dans une très jolie pièce avec vue sur la ville.

It was our second stay here after going on a 2 day cruise . They kept some of our luggage whilst we were away and on our return had arranged a room upgrade to a much larger room which was so much better than our first room which was very small. This shows the staff take your comments on board and assist if they can. A lovely hotel.

The hotel is in a great spot and the lobby area is very nice. The staff there are very helpful.
We had a sparkling wine at the rooftop bar but it was flat. The service in the restaurant was not great. When we went to check out we had to wait while someone “checked the room”. I have never heard this before and I travel a lot for work and holidays. I hope this helps to improve the hotel as it is in a great spot and has a lot of potential.

Perfect location in the old town of Hanoi with a lot of shops, restaurants, bars and massages in the surrounding streets. The staff is extremely friendly and speaks very good English. The breakfast is complete with different options on demand like pancakes, eggs benedict, fried eggs... The breakfast room is beautiful and has a extraordinary city view. The beds are amazing and also the shower is great.
Just a few little things (absolutely no big-deals): 1) the hairdryer is not good if you have long hair. 2) the pool is quiet small and there aren't many towels. 3) our bathroom was very small.

Single night back in Hanoi.
Hotel was amazing. Great position and so welcoming.
Staff as usual were simply so pleasant and helpful.
Room had a great outlook onto the street - like a corner view (room 406)
Breakfast was on the 11 and was spot on.
Tried the pool which had a happy hour too.
We even got a parting gift from the receptionist (she gave us local coffee and a small serving tray) ... how nice was that 👏

A beautiful hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi! Facilities were fantastic and just what we needed after a long flight! All the staff were brilliant, friendly and accommodating, from front of house to cleaners and bar staff on the roof, all were fantastic!

A beautifully designed boutique hotel in an excellent location. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, and the service was truly exceptional. Oscar at reception stood out for his professionalism and genuine care, making our stay seamless.
The rooms are on the smaller side, but that’s typical for boutique hotels in the Old Quarter and didn’t impact our stay. Larger rooms are available — we chose to have two rooms next to each other as we were travelling with our young adult children, which worked really well for us.

L’établissement était digne d’un hôtel 5 étoiles, les chambres sont propres et confortables. Le bar sur le toit est un plus, avec le happy hour et la nourriture était très bonne aussi. Nous ne sommes pas resté longtemps malheureusement, mais nous reviendrons assurément! Le personnel était très gentil et l’hôtel est super bien situé.

Das Hotel ist sauber und super gelegen, sodass man in wenigen Minuten im Old Quarter ist. Etliche Restaurants und einige der Top Sehenswürdigkeiten sind Fussläufig erreichbar. Alternativ findet mna in wenigen Minuten ein Grab / Taxi, das einem zum gewünschten Spot fährt.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war abwechslungsreich und lecker. Das Fitness ist modern, aber ziemlich klein.

Das Hotel ist ganz neu und sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich! Die Lage ist super, man ist direkt in der Stadt. Es gibt eine Roof-Top Bar (mit Pool), an der man abends schön sitzen kann.

Great location in the old quarter, easily accessible. The breakfast options were also great.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and highly recommend it!
The staff is absolutely amazing – kind, welcoming, and very attentive. We asked for an early check-in, and the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate our request, which we truly appreciated.
We were celebrating our honeymoon, and the hotel surprised us with a lovely gesture of fruits and dessert, which made our stay even more special.
The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and the room was simply perfect – comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay and would definitely love to come back again!

Great location, right in the centre of the Old Quarter. Beautiful new hotel with rooftop bar and restaurant at high level. Great views from both as the building is taller than its surroundings.. Room was well equiped with a nice bathroom. Note this hotel is right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the city which means you can hear the sounds of the streets below.

Staff were fantastic and very attentive. The location was great and the hotel and facilities were amazing. We stayed in a Deluxe Corner Suite and it was delightful. Room was designed well and everything is brand new.

Posizione ottima, è tutto a portata di mano: supermercato, atm. Si arriva a piedi al lago Hoan Kiem e al teatro dove fanno lo spettacolo delle marionette sull'acqua. Lo staff sempre disponibile e di una gentilezza incredibile. Mi sono fatta male e mi hanno prestato le stampelle per tutta la durata del soggiorno. Colazione a buffet super!! La frutta era buonissima!
Attenzione: se fate delle escusioni un pullman di grandi dimensioni non riesce a passare nella via e vi chiederanno di andare in un punto di incontro a circa 4 minuti dall'hotel.
Unica pecca la camera non aveva una finestra che dava sull'esterno, ma dava su un corridoio interno. Poca insonorizzazione, si sente tutto dalle camere accanto.

Très bien situé. Hôtel refait à neuf. Belle décoration. On avait une chambre avec balcon. Rooftof incroyable. Petit déjeuné très bon et varié. Meilleur hotel de Hanoï que nous avons fait (on en a fait 2 autres, lors de notre séjour au Vietnam). personnel très attentionné.
Salle de sport petite, mais c'est normal vu l'emplacement de l'hôtel.

The air conditioning turned off when you left your room so coming back from a hot day in Vietnam requires 10-15 minutes of the room cooling off when you get in.

The staff were excellent - very helpful and accommodating. The location is great for exploring the old town. Breakfast was fantastic and the rooftop bar is fun. Just be aware that the rooftop pool is pretty small.

From the moment we entered the hotel to leaving we were well taken care of. The hospitality was amazing. The hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was nicely stocked.

Je ne sais si tout le monde y a droit nous avions la suite la plus cher ) le rooftop et le bar qui s’y trouve cependant la piscine sur le toit ne sert à rien .

Just beautiful. Every time I turned around, I said how attractive this new hotel has been decorated. Beyond that, the staff was fantastic. Location was perfect. Breakfast was great.

All the staff were welcoming and friendly, with the beds being very comfortable to sleep in. The room and ensuite was large enough for a our stay and the hotel is well positioned in the Old Quarter with not too far to walk to the Lake, train and markets, amongst other tourist points of interest.

The rooms were gorgeous. The food was excellent. Sadly it was too cold for the pool while I was there but I did take a look and it was also beautiful.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it! The staff were extremely efficient and kind. The breakfast was so good and had so much variety. We enjoyed the view in the restaurant while having coffee and breakfast each morning. Our room was one of the larger ones and it was spacious and spotless. If I could give it 6 stars I would! I highly recommend The Proverb Hotel for staff, room, cleanliness, location, and value!

The hoter is located right in the center of the old quartier, perfect for visiting the city. The rooms are large and luxurious and decorated with great taste. The personnel is very professional and always ready to help. A bonus point was the amazing breakfast buffet with a view over the city.
During the night we experienced a smell of smoking in the room (the smell was coming from the ventilation system in the bathroom). We informed the personnel immediately but they were unable to locate the source of the smell... after some time the smell was gone. It wasn't too bad but as non smokers it was annoying.

Ein ganz neues Hotel. Alles war sehr schön. Alles war super sauber und hat funktioniert. Das Frühstück war besser als in vielen europäischen Hotels. Die Lage war sensationell. In wenigen Minuten konnte man die Altstadt anschauen. Man war quasi mittendrin.

Really excellent hotel in the centre of the old quarter. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. I had a late flight in the evening after having checked out and was even offered use of shower facilities before my flight. Excellent breakfast selection too.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Proverb Hotel. The room was comfy (especially the bed!) and clean, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were great. The hotel is located right in the Old Quarter and in walking distance of all the main attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was beautiful, staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooftop bar was also really nice, providing one of the best views over the Old Quarter as the hotel is one of the tallest buildings in the area. Location was also great, easily walkable to Hoan Kiem lake, the night market, and just a short distance away from other attractions.
Hotel does not have a drop-off / pickup point, so sometimes calling a grab / getting off a grab can be quite stressful and hectic

Location was great, right in the heart of the old town, very buzzy and authentic, staff were very attentive and dealt with any requests swiftly and accurately. Didn’t use the pool on 12th floor pool because of weather but views of Hanoi were super, breakfast on 11th also came with great view. Overall felt like an authentic Vietnamese hotel with the comforts of a big brand.

Proverb Hotel was excellent! Its central location means that that it's close to Hanoi's main attractions. The staff are so friendly and professional, too. Especially, Bertha who welcomes you to the hotel and makes sure your stay at the Proverb hotel is wonderful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the amenities are fantastic. There is a small gym and in-house spa at the hotel, and a swimming pool although it was too cold to swim in January. The buffet breakfast is delicious and includes local Vietnamese food like beef pho. Will definitely stay at the Proverb Hotel when I return to Hanoi.
As it's a new hotel, they are still smoothing out processes e.g. I made sure to get a stamp on my invoice to state that I had prepaid my stay in full. But I also could have received a stamp on my invoice on the spa treatment I had. The hotel has taken this advice on board.

A brand new hotel in the heart of the old quarter, we were immediately welcomed with friendly and professional staff who made sure all of our needs were met. The included facilities were wonderful, including a breakfast buffet with a yummy selection of food. We didn’t get to swim in the pool as it was Winter, but it looked like it would have been nice to visit during the warmer months - although it should be noted that due to the size of the hotel the pool is more on the smaller side. Our room was extremely comfortable and absolutely spotless. Housekeeping did an amazing job maintaining our room. I would suggest booking the room with the bathtub especially if you’re visiting during the colder months - soaking in it after a long day of exploring was well worth it! We also booked the spa downstairs for a massage and foot scrub - the ladies there did an excellent job and I felt so relaxed after haha. The hotel had even kindly arranged an airport transfer service for us, picking us up and dropping us off at a reasonable price.
Location was also great - only a 10 minute walk from the lake and a short walk to many local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Hanoi, we would love to be back someday!

Very stylish and comfortable hotel in the heart of Hanoi's old quarter.
Big room (on the second day), nice bed, we slept well.
Excellent breakfast in the restaurant at the top, with a view all over Hanoi city.
The staff is incredibly polite and helpful, special mention to the breakfast people and to Vivian Nguyen in reception.
We booked a Premier room with a huge window and panoramic view and got a different room on arrival. We asked for a change and got a bigger and nicer room on the following day, still not corresponding to the one we had booked... Room allocation seems a bit of a lottery...

This hotel was beautifully decorated, very clean, and felt brand new. The furniture was gorgeous, and the rooms were thoughtfully and stylishly designed. We really loved the interior design and the overall atmosphere of the place.
The location was absolutely perfect. We were able to walk everywhere and explored all of Hanoi on foot. Whether it was the lake, Train Street, or the city center, everything was within easy walking distance. It made our stay incredibly convenient and enjoyable.
The staff at the reception were extremely kind and welcoming. This hotel was the very first stop of our trip in Vietnam, and it truly made a wonderful first impression. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our journey.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the hotel had a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff was kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. I would happily recommend this hotel and would love to return.

It's a nice, clean boutique hotel. Staff are helpful, courteous, and speak English. Apart from the room size, which was way too small for the price charged per night, everything else was good.

Staff were super friendly and helpful, rooftop bar and pool were great. Location was amazing, and the facilities were all clean and in good condition.

Die Unterkunft liegt super zentral, sodass man alles im Old Quarter bequem zu Fuß erreichen kann. Das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und die Zimmer sind schön und liebevoll gestaltet. Auch das WLAN war zuverlässig und schnell. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das sehr zuvorkommende Personal, das jederzeit hilfsbereit war und auch bei Sonderanfragen immer lösungsorientiert unterstützt hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend, Zimmer sind super ausgestattet. Das Spa Personal war außergewöhnlich & sehr kompetent
Frühstück war sehr gut und vielseitig, Inklusive einer Auswahl an frisch zubereiteten Gerichten.
Das Hotel ist insgesamt gerade neu, dh entsprechend war alles boch sehr schön.
Bau bei genauerem Hinsehen vielerorts gepfuscht, aber das ist wohl normal in Vietnam :) und beeinträchtigt nicht das Erlebnis

It’s in a really good location. And it is a calming place after going out to the old quarter.
Good restaurant. Great breakfast. They are so kind. They pack us lunch because we have to catch an early flight. Never happened to us before. Will definitely go back

Incredible hotel. The staff was very attentive, the breakfast options were creative and all of the food was delicious, and all of the services we used (spa, laundry service, tour booking) were at a five-star level. From the moment we arrived to even after we left (Ms. Bertha Han checked in with us after our departure to make sure we had reached out next destination safely), we were treated at the highest standard of hospitality. This hotel is well worth five times what we paid for it. Thank you!

This was by far our favourite hotel in Vietnam so far. The hotel is nestled on a corner of the bustling streets of Old Quarter. The hotel is elegantly styled and the staff were very friendly and warm - excellent English and in particular the younger staff were fun to talk with - quick to share anecdotes and friendly chat. The rooms were wonderfully appointed. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The manager went over and above to help us when requested. Thank you for a great and memorable stay.

Location is excellent - in the heart of Hanoi. Easy walk to Opera House/Lake, best restaurants etc... ( 15-30 minutes). Breakfast was not extremely huge variety, but very good quality. There is a noodle/pancake/egg station - offering freshly cooked pancakes, eggs, noodle soup etc... There are also spring rolls, so baked, cooked, fried stuff as well. Lobby, check in and check out excellent, staff is very nice and helpful, enjoyed the countdown party a lot :)
This is definitely not 5 star - at least according to western standards, however it was a cute, nice, little hotel. What we did not like: The room was quite noisy - 10th floor and we constantly heard noises - maybe from the kitchen/restaurant from the 11th floor. Room was quite small - absolutely enough for 2 people - but not big. The biggest issue: the bathroom. I mean, it was extremely dark, water was coming out when you had a shower on the floor, and the whole bathroom was very small - so small that the sink itself and a cupboard was outside the bathroom - in the bedroom! Which is quite odd, and besides, where you had the mirror, you just could not see yourself properly, as there was not satisfactory lighting above the mirror. It would have been fine to have the sink outside the bathroom, but why weren't there any towel hangers next to the sink?

The Proverb Hotel in Hanoi is very well located, making it an excellent choice for exploring the Old Quarter. The rooms are clean and well maintained, with daily housekeeping. The interior design is very tasteful and creates a pleasant atmosphere throughout the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Overall, a great stay that I would happily recommend.

Classy hotel in a buzzy central location. Very helpful attentive staff, clean and well run, excellent breakfast with a great view of the city. Good powerful shower. Bed was very comfortable with good cotton sheets (flatter pillow option would make it perfect). Small gym and sauna, with (paid for) massage available on request (was also v good). Would book again!
Perhaps avoid booking a room with no window (though they kindly upgraded our room so no complaints at all).

Otel eskişehirin merkezinde, odalar rahat ve temiz. Kahvaltı yeterliydi. Bizim kahvaltıyı beklemeyin. Gönül rahatlığı ile kalabilirsiniz.

Hotel was only 3 months everything was spotless. The staff were very discrete and helpful and the location was excellent.

Everything was outstanding.
The hotel is brand new, and you can notice this immediately upon entering. Everything is in excellent condition and very well organized. The staff are top professional, friendly, and always helpful. I highly recommend this hotel with complete confidence.

Loved the French Inspired theme, beautiful interior design. Great location, staff were simply amazing and Laine was so good at helping us with our tours. Would recommend Heritage Travel who the hotel uses, yes a little more expensive but it was worth it!!!

Although It was in the old quarter, the hotel was very new ( opened only 3 months ago) and very clean . The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even prepared a breakfast to go for us one day when we had to leave early for an excursion.
Some rooms are a bit small. But the staff changed our room to a bigger one for a small charge.

The hotel is newly- built in a great location 5-10mins walk from the centre of Hanoi. We booked Deluxe rooms (not sure we got them) but they were lovely just the same. There's a great rooftop pool and bar to view the skyline. Breakfast was varied - enough to cater to all tastes. Gym is just a weight machine and running machine in what is essentially a cup of and so forget about that. We did book massages whilst we were there - the treatment itself was great but totally disrupted by some e drilling in the room above! Check they're not planning maintenance work before you book!

Hotel godny polecenia, personel bardzo pomocy. Pomogli również w kontakcie z kolejnym hotelem. Śniadanie super, na zamówienie jajka w rożnych postaciach. Bardzo czysto. Najważniejsze atrakcje blisko ( pieszo lub komunikacja miejska). Dla tych co zastanawiają się czy pojechać na własną rękę do Hanoi, polecam ( bezpiecznie).
Trochę mały basen, ale przecież nie po to jedzie się do Hanoi aby kąpać się w basenie.

De primera, céntrico, muy cómodo, y acabados de excelente calidad. El desayuno delicioso y cuidado. La atención magnífica, todo es nuevo, limpio y mantenido. What an absolute treat in the city, a few mins walk away from the extremely busy part of town and a stone throw away from the local market, famous Hanoi train/coffee street and the best food! The hotel is beautiful, interiors are well crafted with stunning views from the breakfast and bar area. The hotel was also able to accommodate vegan food for breakfast and the staff were so attentive. Special thanks to Lanie, Archie and hotel manager Vivian for taking care of us.

Absolutely amazing hotel, such an ideal location!! We loved the interior, exterior, the layout and size of the room as well. The service was always outstanding, from the delicious breakfast to the attentiveness for coffee, extra fruit, local suggestions of places to go to and even just opening and closing the door for when you leave and arrive. We will definitely be back!

Lovely location and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very clean and the pool and sky bar are really cool and give you a great view of the city. Special mention to Bin who worked at the bar. He was so happy to answer our questions and chat to us, thank you!

The breakfast was very good with a reasonable array of options - we suggested some granola for European guests. Great views of the city from the breakfast room. Service was impeccable, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Special mention to Oscar at reception. Location was great, tucked in a slightly quieter road in the frenetic old town but very central. The room was very insulated from street noise, so we slept very well in the comfy beds.

We loved staying here for two nights when we arrived in Vietnam - could easily have stayed longer. The staff were all charming - a special shoutout to Lanie in reception, who couldn’t do enough for us. Archie at breakfast was also very sweet and helpful. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was great and the buffet breakfast was delicious, with plenty of Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese options. The rooftop bar was nice, if a bit empty. The pool was too chilly for me but the kids went in, and my daughter also used the small gym. The location is brilliant, right in the heart of the Old Quarter within walking distance or a short Grab car away from all the sights. We would definitely book again.
Despite the incredibly comfortable beds we did wake up unnaturally early both mornings. I think it was the jet lag, but if you have a street-facing room it can also be a bit noisy. But you’ve got to expect that in the heart of town, and it just meant we had more time to explore/enjoy the breakfast!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, lots of thoughtful finishing touches, and the staff are phenomenal.
The only complaint we have is that as vegans we couldn’t have a great breakfast there - fruit and vegetables are not my favourite way to start the day! If there was a tofu option instead of the eggs menu that would have been absolutely perfect.

Excellent service, great location, good breakfasts. Roof bar and swimming pool with a beautiful view.
The rooms are a bit small. You can hear noise from the street in the room, but it dies down at night, so it doesn't disturb your sleep.

Die Lage ist top, mitten in der Altstadt. Der Pool und die Bar auf dem Dach haben einen tollen Ausblick.
- Die Zimmer sind sehr klein (die Fotos hier auf Booking wirken viel größer). - Beim Duschen ist das ganze Bad überflutet, u.a. weil der Ablauf der Dusche nicht richtig funktioniert und weil die Duschwand zu kurz ist. - Das Licht am Spiegel ist total schlecht, z.B. um sich zu rasieren. - Obwohl das Hotel sehr neu ist, gibt es schon ein paar Tierchen im Zimmer. - Das Personal ist noch recht unerfahren, für ein angebliches 5*-Hotel geht das nicht. - Das Frühstück ist eher nur mittelmäßig, das Obst allerdings richtig gut. An sich hätte ich 8 Punkte ("sehr gut") gegeben. Beim Checkout hab ich den hoteleigenen Bewertungsbogen ausgefüllt und wurde dann von einer Hotelmanagerin darauf angesprochen. Ich finde es toll, wenn sich ein Hotel um das Feedback bemüht. Einen weiteren Punkt ziehe ich aber ab, da ich aufgefordert wurde, nicht auf Booking zu bewerten oder wenn, dann bitte nur mit 10 Punkten. Und 7 Punkte sind ja auch immer noch "gut".

The hotel is beautifully designed with a warm, elegant atmosphere that immediately makes you feel comfortable. The rooms were clean, quiet, and very well maintained, and the location is excellent for exploring Hanoi. The staff were extremely kind, professional, and always willing to help. A special thanks to Mike, who was exceptionally supportive and attentive—his assistance and care truly made our stay smoother and more enjoyable.
Honestly, there was nothing significant to dislike. The experience was very pleasant overall, and any small issues were handled professionally and quickly by the staff.

Great location, very well maintained rooms, nice breakfast.
At checkout, one of our rooms lost a room key. Nothing special, just an ordinary key card. They charged us 4 dollars for it. That thing costs on bulk 0.5$. Who dose that on check out? Vivian from the hotel contacted me and stated that they are thinking about changing that policy I appreciate that very much.

This is a relatively new boutique hotel, perfectly situated in the old quarter of Hanoi. The roof top bar has excellent views of the city and sundowners were a real treat and photographic opportunity. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful, when asked to assist with day trips and airport transferers, they did so with great efficiency. Bertha was our main point of contact and deserves a special mention in this review (thank you Bertha). The room was very well appointed and immaculately clean, as was the hotel in general.
There was an absence of pork on the menu, with chicken sausage and beef bacon the only offerings for breakfast! Perhaps a wider choice of meats to satisfy all tastes?

A warm welcome at reception by Oscar.
A beautiful hotel that opened a few months ago. We had a corner suite which had plenty of room and was beautifully decorated.
The bath is fantastic and the bed is very comfortable.

The staff, always willing to help no matter the time of day or night. We arrived late & tired. They bought us out some lovely tea & just wanted to get us settled. Had an interconnecting room which was perfect for our family. We love Vietnam & the Proverb was no different. Loved it! Beds & bathroom so comfortable.

Excellent location in the heart of the old Hanoi with most of what we like nearby or at a few minutes walk. Very friendly, competent and helpful staff. Amazing decoration of the room and the shared spaces. Cozy rooftop with a small but very pleasant swimming pool with a nice view of the city. Excellent breakfast. Excellent value for money. You feel at home, enjoying a luxury without the crowds ! We'll come back.

The hotel is located in the city centre, easy access to all the tourist spots. The room we booked was at 10th floor and the view was nice and the room was big and comfy.
The wall and the ceiling might be a bit thin so we can hear the noises from other rooms at night and the chairs moving above us in the restaurant in the morning. The water pipes (both bathtub and the shower) also seemed a bit blocked and the water went down slowly. (But we have this problem in other two hotels too)

The location was perfect in old Quarter and the staff was so attentive and so lovely and friendly being a new hotel everything was new and modern.
The breakfast menu was fair and it’s just a shame there’s no shade upstairs so that you could enjoy the surroundings and it would be a great idea to have solar heating for the pool .. a great hotel

Sehr sauber und neu. Sehr gute Lage - mitten im Geschehen aber in einer ruhigeren Strasse gelegen. Frühstücksbuffet war super. In der Lobby hat es immer sehr gut gerochen. Check-in war einfach und sehr angenehm. Wir bekamen einen Welcomedrink und wurden gut über alles informiert. Das Personal war immer freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Sehr gute Dusche mit top Wasserdruck. Das Bett war aussergewöhnlich.
Die Fenster könnten etwas besser abgedichtet sein wegen dem Lärm.

De locatie, de ontvangst, de inrichting, alles is hier perfect! De medewerkers tonen zich oprecht geïnteresseerd en zijn meer dan gastvrij. Alles is op en top verzorgd en het uitzicht vanaf onze kamer op de 10e verdieping was fantastisch! Het ontbijt op de 11e verdieping was ook heel goed verzorgd. De bar en het zwembad op het dak zijn een plaatje! Je loopt zo old-town in als je de deur uit gaat. Kortom: fantastisch!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the front desk staff Mike. He helped us check-in into the hotel and suggested some good places of interest to visit and awesome places for local food. The room was clean and neat. The breakfast was good.

Location was amazing and the staff was just next level kind and warm. Bertha Han left no stone unturned to make sure we were happy and enjoyed every bit of our stay.

服務人員很親切跟禮貌，當時浴室遇到些狀況積極處理，地理位置離市區很方便，附近很多按摩跟餐廳。飯店最令我滿意是很乾淨且很新、早餐部分選擇也多，一大早吃早餐若座窗邊位子，邊放空吃早餐還不錯!

Staff is first rate! They can help you with everything! I needed to buy a used iPhone and I showed them the one I found online and they spoke to the store and had it delivered to the hotel. Then they ordered a SIM card (don’t buy at airport!) that was a great deal. But the best part was they came up to my room and set up my new phone and SIM card for me with all the travel apps I needed (Google maps, translate, etc), and connected my home phone to it. I tried to tip the young men (see photo) and they refused. Very nice hotel and very nice complimentary breakfast. Great and safe location, close to everything.

Pobyt w tym hotelu był dla nas czystą przyjemnością. Obiekt jest niezwykle zadbany, czysty i po prostu piękny. Lokalizacja w samym sercu starej dzielnicy pozwala w pełni poczuć prawdziwy klimat Hanoi - tętniące życiem uliczki są tuż obok, a jednocześnie hotel stanowi spokojną, komfortową bazę.
Obsługa zasługuje na największe słowa uznania, wszyscy byli serdeczni i pomocni, a szczególnie Mike, który z uśmiechem znajdował rozwiązanie nawet najbardziej kryzysowych spraw.
Z ogromną przyjemnością wrócimy tu podczas kolejnych wizyt w Hanoi. Polecamy z całego serca!

La vue sur la chambre n'était pas telle qu'annoncée, telle que nous l'avions vue sur les photos. Nous étions au deuxième étage (pas assez haut que pour avoir une vue sur la ville, comme convenu) et un mur faisait face à notre fenêtre et nous empêchait de voir directement la rue. Nous avions pris une chambre de qualité supérieure exprès pour cette vue panoramique. Au niveau du personnel, le premier accueil nous a un peu refroidi car le réceptionniste, après nous avoir demandé où nous allions le lendemain, a tenté de nous dissuader de nous y rendre en indiquant que c'était une mauvaise idée en cette période, que les routes étaient impraticables, etc (ce qui n'était pas du tout le cas). Le reste du personnel était très bien !

However the other days we had to locate and ask staff to take our order. Also after having drinks at the roof top bar both day and evening, service was a little slow and payment taking was very slow. Maybe a little more training in these areas. On departure we were asked to wait a few mins for our bill and for the room to be checked, which we gladly did. Our friends turned up to say goodbye, just doing this when we were interrupted and told we had a bill to pay, then I was given a questionnaire to complete, which I did, then was bombarded with questions on why I had marked something average (breakfast service), the manager even came out. All this whilst trying to say goodbye to friends. All a bit much. Maybe give your guests a questionnaire the night before departure to hand in at reception when checking out. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. Pool area, could have more relaxed seating during the day to enjoy the pool. The pool is extremely cold.

Die Lage es Hotels ist ausgezeichnet. Sobald man das Hotel verlässt, ist man Teil des Altstadtlebens - wirklich besonders! Die Ausstattung sowie das Personal, vor allem der Customer Service mit Mike Nguyen, sind ausgezeichnet. Der Frühstücksraum war mein persönliches Highlight. Der Blick auf Hanoi ist unvergesslich! Unser Aufenthalt war einfach perfekt! Nur zu empfehlen!!!

Die Zimmer haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Es war alles sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtet. Außerdem war es sehr sauber und hatte eine tolle Lage.

The hotel was excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable. The rooftop and pool offered a beautiful panoramic view.
The service was truly outstanding: we had a small issue with the sauna and, as an apology, they even offered us a taxi to the airport.
The location was perfect, central but quiet enough to rest without noise.
The restaurant they recommended was also very good.
Overall, a great hotel – highly recommended.

Staff is very nice and everyone speaks very good english so communication and asking for help is easy. I am very picky about room and their rooms are fantastic (i stayed in 2 different rooms). Location is also great. Many famous food and attractions are a short walk away

Staff is very nice and everyone speaks very good english so communication and asking for help is easy. I am very picky about room and their rooms are fantastic (i stayed in 2 different rooms). Location is also great. Many famous food and attractions are a short walk away

Here's a comprehensive feedback on this new top choice in Hanoi:
Beyond being new, the beautiful design truly stands out. From the furniture to light switches to appliances - everything is high quality, giving the entire place its outstanding elegance and 5 star vibes. The bed, pillows and linen are top notch and sleep quality is at its highest here (side note for those with sensitive ears: windows are not fully soundproof, some street noise gets through).
The pool area looks beautifully arranged on the top floor (didn't use it, rainy days).
The rooms are not huge, but stunningly well designed, so they feel very cozy and homy, with very nicely arranged bathrooms. We used a family connecting room and that was just perfect.
Breakfast beats what most small boutique hotels in town have to offer, with egg station, choice of bread and all the whistles and bells one would expect. Sure, you can't expect a Marriott or Sofitel type of breakfast paradise, but for this size of property, breakkie comes with a great choice and quality!
Special note on the lobby: in the middle of the city hustle, this is a little oasis that feels like a modern little castle. Make sure to sit in the lobby for a bit, and enjoy the design details!
Staff is, as any other review would confirm (and as is expected in Vietnam) absolutely amazing and dedicated in every possible way. And I'm not writing this because the crew would ask for a good review, but out of pure self-drive to share my great experience here with others, and stimulate the readers of this review to book right away - even at the risk of not finding a free room myself when I'll need one.
All in all a more than solid choice in the heart of Hanoi. Property saved, will be back!

Gorgeous new hotel, very well designed and decorated.
We were on floor 10, which is the floor below the breakfast room which was quite loud when breakfast started. Truly the only negative of the hotel however.

Brand neues Hotel in bester Lage der Altstadt von Hanoi. Sehr gut ausgestattet, Zimmer leihweise etwas klein und einzelne mit kleinem Fenster - stört aber wenig, das man ja die Stadt erleben möchte.
Pool gerade in Betrieb genommen, ebenso Wellnessbereich. Große Lobby. Reichhaltiges Frühstück im 11 Stock. Offene rooftop Skybar mit Pool. Leider noch recht wenig frequentiert.

The staff is green and needs some time to learn. Saw a few of them smoking outside in uniforms. On the phone in the lobby. Sitting in the lobby on the couches instead of helping guests or doing things. Saw the housekeeper washing the mop in the sink of the lobby. Once at breakfast we asked for a coffee and were told that they are running a coffee machine in the lobby.. in a quite rude way. Overall a good experience but the service needs to have a bit of polish.

We had an incredible stay at Proverb Hotel in Hanoi. The place is spotless and clean, the staff are super helpful, the location is fantastic for exploring the old quarter and the breakfast was delicious.
Would have liked to have stayed longer with them to get the full experience, but we've enjoyed every moment of our stay.
Highly recommend for anyone visiting Hanoi!

Brand new, relatively value for money given the facilities (we probably paid a discounted price considering the hotel only opened a few weeks ago), extremely well located in the Old Quarter. We also appreciated the free late checkout.

The hotel is quite new so the facilities, swimming pool, restaurant feels very fresh and new. The staff are amazing and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had. The swimming pool was a great extra for a hot afternoon and the bar next to the swimming pool had an amazing choice of drinks that were top notch. We loved the room which was designed very nicely and was very clean with everything we needed in it.
Just that in the evenings it got a little loud on the street and because of the window type we could hear everything, however it did not bother us too much.

Frühstück war super, das Personal extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend! Die Lage mit dem Pool auf dem Dach und Blick über Hanoi ist fantastisch.

Everything went well, I just wish there's clearer signs so that we know how to ask for No Cleaning/No Disturb. Also it'd be good to have a price list for the spa and the foods/drinks so we will know.
Overall, the service is amazing even though they have been set up for only 15 days! Will come back for future stays.

This is a new hotel located in an excellent location in the old quarter of Hanoi. The room was extremely high quality with excellent comfort and great facilities. Staff were excellent, they helped me with checking in late, assisting with laundry, and booking a massage at a local place. All was excellent and I would recommend.

I recently stayed at the Proverb Hotel in Hanoi and it was a truely exemplary experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, always available which made us feel right at home and well taken care of throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed that gave us a good night’s sleep, plus a beautiful bathroom to feel completely spoilt.
The hotel offers a buffet breakfast with a variety of options, local dishes and some familiar eggs, bacon and the like with fresh fruits to pastries, coffee, juices which was a great way to start the day. We also appreciated the tea/juice available in the lobby throughout the day on arrival.
One of the highlights of our stay was the customer service we received, it went above and beyond Mike (the customer service Manager)in particular help with an issue outside of the hotel experience. An issue with an accidental overcharged on my card from a local merchant, he was able to help with the communication and find a way to get a refund faster than returning it to my card. Which really was such a relief not to have it impact the end of our trip. The fact Mike help with an issue outside of the hotel just to ensure that our holiday wasn't ruined really does emphasise the quality of service that the hotel provides. And he wasn't the only one Bertha and nameless others help in ways to make our stay wonderful.
The location of the hotel was spotless, no expense spared on the renovation to make the hotel look spectacular, with the local perfectly chosen to be in the heart of the old quarter so several shops and restaurants just a short walk away.
Overall I would without hesitation recommend Proverb Hotel for your stay in Hanoi to feel completely spoilt in the decadent surrounding and service.

Das neu eröffnete Hotel in Hanoi hat einen sehr guten Service. Alle Mitarbeiter, von der Rezeption bis zum Zimmerservice, waren sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind top eingerichtet und das Frühstück ist super. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
Die Schallisolierung gegen die Straße ist jetzt nicht mit einer europäischen Dreifachverglasung zu vergleichen, aber das ist klagen auf hohem Niveau.

The hotel is new and the staff is have been so helpful with everything. It was raining during our stay and they let us borrow their umbrellas. The spa in the hotel is not yet open but they l booked us at a recommended spot with 10% off. We also asked for bath soap for the bath and they were so kind in arranging all of it.

All of the staff here were very kind and helpful. Super friendly people who are keen to make the hotel and your stay the best it can be as it's only been open a few weeks. The rooftop pool was great and the hotel is in a fantastic location.
I wish the bathroom had liquid soap instead of bars. When the restaurant opens and you can get lunch and dinner at the hotel it will be even better. Some of the breakfast food wasn't great (juice, coffee - there didn't seem to be a coffee machine - cereal and pastries could be better quality).

The location is perfect. The hotel is brand new and we were the first guests to stay at our room. Comfortable beds and very modern equipment make this the perfect hotel for your stay. The staff is absolutely amazing. Especially Bertha helped us out a lot. We were there during a typhoon and still had a great time!
