Great location, especially for visiting the Con Dao Museum and historic prison sites. The food was good, and overall it is a pleasant hotel.
The hotel markets itself at a slightly higher standard than it delivers. Service can be on the slower side, and overall customer care has room for improvement.

Staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel was well maintained. It was easy to access and explore the island.

The staff was attentive and considerate the whole time I was at the hotel. They answered every question patiently and were proactive in addressing needs I had not considered. A highlight was the front desk checking when I would be leaving on the last day to not only arrange an airport shuttle but also pack quite a hefty breakfast for me to take along since the buffet would not be opened.
The location of the hotel is also great with a pretty amazing view of the ocean. It is also near to the public bus stop which is currently free and which could take you to all the major sites in the Eastern part of the island. If you're interested in the town itself or the historical sites such as the prison or cemetery, they are all within walking distance. Otherwise, there are so many taxis parked outside that you won't have a problem finding a ride.
Not much to say about the room except that it was excellent. I did not find myself missing any amenity.
Do checkout the Sunset Lounge at the top level if you're looking for a place to chill with a view (but you will not see the sunset!).
The biggest downside of the hotel is the public announcement speakers outside the hotel, which began blasting messages and news at around 5.30am every day. This is outside of the hotel's control but it did disrupt my sleep every day.

The Secret is a lovely modern hotel in a prime location with a huge out -door swimming pool right across from the beach and in easy walking distance of the museum, which is very interesting, the prison and the Cemetery. There are numerous local restaurants in easy walking distance and a free "hop on hop off" bus that runs throughout the day and stops near the hotel. The beds are really comfortable and the WiFi is first rate and fast. We took advantage of the inclusive offer of the airport shuttle and it was very efficient. My daughter received a free upgrade of her room.
Firstly there was no make-up mirror in the bathroom and trying to apply make-up in the only mirror over the the wash basin wasn't ideal. Our rooms had lovely big balconies but no furniture was provided and this seemed to be the case with all the balconies - are people expected to stand up all the time? Or take out furniture from the bedroom? This is a glaring omission. Up on the roof is the Sunset Bar, advertised as offering Happy Hour Cocktails, Wine and Beer from 5pm but in reality only Cocktails are on offer. As the name suggests one hopes to see the sunset from there but for some unknown reason a grey concrete wall has been built all around the edge of the area, meaning if one is sitting outside with drinks its necessary to stand to see the sunset, we christened it "The Berlin Wall". Breakfast was geared very much to the Asian market and the buffet was only available at the weekend.

Nous n'avons pas pu effectués ce séjour, et pour cause, le navire Côn đao express qui devrait nous amener sur l'île était en avarie mécanique grave, il a du retourner à quai à Vũng tàu, donc plus de possibilités de rejoindre Côn đao. Nous avons essayé par voie aérienne...et pas de vol non plus ! Donc le séjour a été annulé à contre cœur! Malgré cela l'hôtel a accepté de nous rembourser, C'était un geste commercial important, et nous l'apprécions à juste titre.
Nous sommes des retraités voyageurs, nous adorons le Vietnam, et nous comptons y retourner l'année prochaine. Et Côn đao reste toujours une destination à découvrir pour nous.
Nous remercions l'hôtel The secret Côn đao et M. Phạm minh Thuân pour son professionnalisme, nous lui souhaitons bonne continuation.

Väldigt trevligt och bra standard, ett 4+ stjärnor hotell. Bra läge på en ö som är väldigt lugn och rofylld. Bra restaurang som serverar en prisvärd buffé på kvällarna. Som alltid i Vietnam väldig trevlig personal

Vị trí khách sạn rất gần trung tâm, tiện cho việc đi lại.Chỗ nghĩ cũng sát bãi biển và từ hồ bơi có khách sạn có thể nhìn ra bãi biển nên tạo cảm giác rất tuyệt với khi trải nghiệm hồ bơi và khu vực bơi ở đây.
Mình lưu trú ngay khi có event giải chạy "Save the Turtles" nên buổi sáng sớm hơi ồn, gây thức giấc vào sáng sớm.

View đẹp, nv nhà hàng dễ thương
Lễ tân k niềm nở , k tư vấn các tiện ích đầy đủ, k nên đặt phần ăn tại ks 3 buổi y như nhau trong 2 ngày , k có sự lựa chọn nào khác, nv nhà hàng có đổi giúp chúng tôi 1 lần sang đồ âu, nhìn chung trải nghiệm ăn uống đắt đỏ và k như mong đợi.

Resort gần bãi biển rất tuyệt vời.
Khuôn viên resort đẹp & nội thất nhà hàng sang trọng.
Phòng sạch sẽ.
View phòng: trên booking có ghi rõ view City cho khách chọn nhưng khi giao phòng: view phòng rất xấu vì chỉ nhìn thấy nóc nhà phía dưới ngay trước phòng. Buổi trưa: không rõ là resort đang sửa chữa gì nhưng khách nghe tiếng khoan đục rất ồn nhưng không có báo trước cho khách. Các phòng hình như không được cách âm tốt nên các bạn nhỏ ở các phòng khác làm ồn thì đều nghe tiếng ồn.

L’hôtel est bien situé.
Le service n’est pas vraiment celui d’un 4 étoiles : le personnel est cordial dans l’ensemble mais on a parfois l’impression de déranger voire de ne pas être les bienvenus.

L'hôtel et l'emplacement est top!
Le personnel courtois dans l'ensemble mais discret. L'hospitalité qu'on retrouve au Vietnam n'y était pas ici. Le prix et tout les extras payant, même les vélos (1er fois en 4ans au Vietnam que je vois ça payant)

Das Hotel ist relativ neu und sehr gepflegt. Alles sauber und Hotelmitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Die Lage direkt am Strand ist top. Der Pool ist recht groß und auch zum schwimmen geeignet. Wir hatten Glück: zu unserer Reisezeit war wenig los. D.h. alles sehr ruhig. Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Die Betten waren weich und angenehm. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß.
Hohe Preise für Getränke und Essen an der Bar bzw. im Hotel Restaurant. Hier bezahlt man für Getränke den 4-fachen Preis als in Restaurants üblich.

The pool is amazing and the hotel well located.
It’s a bit overpriced and there is only a few lounge chairs by the pool compared to the huge number of rooms at he facility.

Можно взять мотобайк в аренду , разнообразные завтраки. Чистый номер и постельное белье . Спа,
1)После уборки пропала мягкая игрушка и не смогли найти . Она была в кровати. Персонал старательно искал и несколько раз приходил в номер, но увы. 2) слаба шумоизоляция и будьте готовый , что местные которые прилетают отдыхать крайне громко кричат в коридорах.

Sauberes und schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Gute Gelegen zur Stadt wie auch zum Strand. Zu unserer Zeit waren überwiegend asiatische Touristen, wodurch am Pool eigentlich immer Liegen frei waren.

The location, the comfort and the staff are amazing.
We booked a family room with a large terrace and all 3 meals included every day.
We tasted all the meals, in different days and were very satisfied with the quality of food and service.
The large and nice swimming pool is a plus from the Secret Con Dao.
Not far away (about 300m) you can find good local restaurants with excellent foods and affordable prices such as QUAN AN BA MIEN. The Con Dao Museum is just 150m from the hotel.

街の中にあれので、観光や食事に行きやすい。だけどカード使えない。現金オンリーです。物価は2倍以上しますが、スーパーも歩いて行けるので、不便ではなかったです。
スタッフの英語力が低いが、翻訳機で対応はしてくれる。プールのタオルは常になく、補充されないので部屋なタオルで凌いだ。エレベーターや廊下は常に水浸し。滑りやすい。部屋のシャワーの排水が良くない。水が溜まっているので、排水溝みたら、前の人の髪の毛が大量に残っていた。3泊したが、一度も清掃されなかった。トイレとシャワーの扉が共用なので、シャワー中にトイレを使用すると、洗面台が水浸しになるので、気をつけた方が良い。トイレの隙間に綿棒が挟まっていた。シーツ交換なし。タオルのみ。ゴミだけ回収で掃除なし。水も有料なのでご注意を。静かな部屋をリクエストしたけど、上の階の工事の音が常にしていた。こんなもんかと思って宿泊した方が良いです。

Wir waren zunächst wirklich skeptisch, da wir unmittelbar vor der Ankunft eine sehr negative Bewertung gelesen hatten. Allerdings traf bei uns kein einziger dieser beanstandeten Punkte zu: Das Hotel befindet sich in einem ausgezeichneten, neuwertigen Zustand. Alles erscheint dabei sehr hochwertig und durchdacht und vermittelt auch im Detail eine wundervolle Atmosphäre, sowohl das Gebäude mit seinen Einrichtungen als auch die Zimmer. Wir können dies beurteilen, da wir beruflich und privat schon in unzähligen Hotels der gehobenen und der Luxus-Klasse abgestiegen sind. Das gesamte Personal war über die komplette Zeit stets freundlich und äußerst hilfsbereit auch bei Sonderwünschen (ruhige Zimmer, veganes Essen). Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich, die Zimmerreinigung war aufmerksam, die Sauberkeit ließ absolut nichts zu wünschen übrig. Das Hotel ist perfekt gelegen, nur durch die Uferstraße vom Meer getrennt zwischen zwei großen Stränden und in Laufweite zum kleinen aber lebhaften Zentrum mit seinen Geschäften, dem Markt und den zahlreichen Streetfood-Ständen und Restaurants. Fazit: Unser bisher bestes Hotel in Thailand/Indonesien/Vietnam und sogar eines unserer besten überhaupt. Wir würden sofort wieder hier buchen und können es nur jedem empfehlen.
An Wochenenden, wenn durch Inlandstouristen das Hotel komplett belegt ist, kann das Personal manchmal an seine Grenzen kommen, was wir teilweise an der Kaffeetheke und beim Nachfüllen des Frühstücksbuffets bemerkt haben. Nichts Gravierendes, aber angesichts des sonstigen hervorragenden Servicelevels ist uns dies aufgefallen.

Nice facilities, polite personel and very, VERY nice location.
Pool rules were inconsistent and even though a signed proclaimed that we could swim after 19.00 the personel insisted that we couldn't. Also what is with the rules not allowing for kids to have fun in the pool!? No diving, splashing og having fun. Anyways, we had fun anyways and the personel did not inforce it. The morning buffet was so and so and no single piece of cheese was present. Okay, fine. Do as the locals, but funny enough there was some limited options that I didn't expect. Also goes to the coffee machine that was broken 3 out of 4 days. Same goes for the café at the reception which boasted an impressive menu of coffees and smoothies put couldn't deliver on them all for several days in a row. The rooms were nice but you could see that the cleaning personal was under pressure to finish as there were lint and dirt in the corners.

The location was excellent, the pool area was spacious and relaxing. There were always available loungers, the music and general ambience created a peaceful environment. The staff were well polite and well-intentioned. The breakfast offering was broad and set us up well for the day, and the Sunset lounge was a great space with helpful staff.
Unfortunately we experienced a series of issues, starting with the non-arrival of our (paid for) shuttle bus at the airport. Throughout our stay the staff, whilst polite, we felt were under-trained. They often had to be prompted to replenish the breakfast bar, pool towels, room towels, in room coffee, and to serve us for our evening meal (which was also unable to supply us water with our meal). Cleanliness could have been better with glasses not removed from our room for several days, and common areas, such as the sunset lounge, sometimes in need of a mop up. Finally, although off the hotel grounds, our room overlooked a sports field which, every other night, featured a coach with a mega-phone and loud music for roughly two hours. This distracted from our ability to relax at the end of the day.
Unfortunately we experienced a series of issues, starting with the non-arrival of our (paid for) shuttle bus at the airport. Throughout our stay the staff, whilst polite, we felt were under-trained. They often had to be prompted to replenish the breakfast bar, pool towels, room towels, in room coffee, and to serve us for our evening meal (which was also unable to supply us water with our meal). Cleanliness could have been better with glasses not removed from our room for several days, and common areas, such as the sunset lounge, sometimes in need of a mop up. Finally, although off the hotel grounds, our room overlooked a sports field which, every other night, featured a coach with a mega-phone and loud music for roughly two hours. This distracted from our ability to relax at the end of the day.

The bed was very comfortable. The staff is doing their best to meet your expectations. The breakfast is wonderful with many options. The pool area is great, fresh towels all day to have in the pool. The cleaning of your room during the afternoon also it is an additional part that makes you feel comfy!
We had choose the Full Board option (Breakfast - Lunch & Dinner). They have set menus for 2 people and they are only 4 for lunch and 3 for dinner. Very bad organized as first of all you have to choose the same with the other person, the quantity is very small, not even the salads are in buffett and if you are staying for a week as we did we have the same dinner for 5 days in the row as the other 2 options were pasta. Do not expect buffet options for lunch and dinner. Also no free water available. The sunset bar has great drinks but the person who served us both times looks very ungry and disturbed with the clients. He was the only person who was like in a 'bad' mood.

Notre séjour dans cet hôtel a été exceptionnel. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, la piscine est très grande, hôtel situé juste en face de la mer. Possibilité de louer des scooters. Le personnel est aux petits soins, ils nous ont aidé pour nos transferts qui ne les concernaient même pas car nous n'arrivions pas à organiser. Je recommande
Il y a une navette à heure fixe pour l'aéroport mais rien pour le ferry. En revanche, des taxis stationnent en permanence devant l'hôtel donc vous n'aurez aucun problème à trouver un transport pour vous déplacer sur l'île.

Super dejlig pool og pænt og rent hotel. Det ligger super godt så man kan gå til byen og byens restauranter. Rooftop baren er fantastisk og kan virkelig anbefales til happy hour.
De var ikke gearet til så mange mennesker i restauranten om morgenen, hver dag manglede der både glas, kopper, der gik lang tid inden der blev fyldt op hvad der manglede af mad så der burde de sætte flere folk på eller uddelegere opgaverne bedre.

Great modern & picturesque hotel on a rocky beach front.
Nice decor throughout hotel with attentive staff. Excellent swimming pool and really nice sandy beach 200m easy walk down the road, as is the town. Cafes, bar and 2 restaurants on hotel with reasonable prices.
Room was nice with a large comfy bed. Ensuite was separated to the room with a light curtain. Shower was good.
Noisy hallway as it is tiled.
We enjoyed our 4n stay.

The room was very nice, calm and comfy. We took a street-view room and it had a view on palm trees (4th floor), which we found very nice. The breakfast was great, could have been even better without self-service coffee machine (many issues with it). The pool area is nice, although there aren’t enough seats provided. Sadly it was rainy during our whole stay despite it was dry season (4 nights), so we asked the reception for an hdmi cable to connect the tv to our smartphone and watch movies on Netflix in the evening and they kindly lent us one.
We found the massages too expensive, we went to many 5 star hotels in Vietnam where they were way cheaper, so we didn’t book any. We tried to stay in the pool area in a covered bed under the rain, to avoid staying in the room all the time with the bad weather, but water would drop through the fabric cover and wet everything. So when it rains, besides the prison museum, there’s quite nothing to do on this island.😅

Le loueur de scooter qui était très désagréable et qui ne reflétaient pas le reste du personnel et la prestation de l’hôtel. Une certaine clientèle très très bruyante. Notre chambre un peu trop bruyante du fait qu’elle soit située au-dessus de la réception peut-être.

L'emplacement proche de la plage. Hôtel et chambres agréables avec des infrastructures de qualité. Petit-déjeuner avec du choix.
Le personnel ne parle pas anglais et n'a aucune volonté d'aider. Le checkin se résume à un paiement, aucune information n'est donnée sur les services de l'hôtel. À 20h, restaurant à moitié vide, le personnel nous dit de revenir dans "2h". Les détecteurs de fumée sont obstrués afin qu'ils ne se déclenchent pas. La city view donne en fait sur le parking de bus.

Świetna lokalizacja. Bardzo miła obsługa. Pysznie śniadania. W wiele miejsc można dojść na piechotę, Na przeciw hotelu bardzo duża i piękna plaża.
Jedynym minusem był zepsuty ekspres przez co dostępny był tylko jeden przy którym tworzy ła się kolejka. A i projket łazienki jest tragicznym wszystko schłychać i widać bo pokój i łazienke dzieli tylko firanka.

Beautiful property, thoughtful design, comfy bed. We particularly enjoyed spending sunny mornings in the cabanas/day beds at the side of the pool. The gym is fairly well-equipped. Our room was not on a high floor and we did not book a sea view but our room was dual aspect at the end of the corridor so it was nice to wake up to the sea every morning.
Peoples’ room service trays were left on the floor in the corridor all day (not an exaggeration). Tables and tableware at breakfast were not cleared and flipped quickly enough to allow for large number of guests to pass through. I assume the hotel was understaffed due to Tet.

L'hôtel était de construction récente, la piscine à débordement est un plus pour les clients! Le petit déjeuner était correct, mais après 4 jours le buffet n'avait pas varié !
Mon contrat incluait le transfert de l'aéroport à l'hôtel le jour de notre arrivée! J'avais informé le numéro de vol et l'heure d'arrivée mais suite à un retard de dernière minute le vol a accusé un retard de 90 min. Ayant le numéro de vol , j'espérais que l'hôtel allait confirmer l'arrivée de celui-ci! Personne n'était là pour nous récupérer! Nous avons pris un taxi et demandé notre arrivée à la réception de bien vouloir régler le taxi. Notre demande a été refusée par la préposée! La chambre était de taille moyenne et la salle de bain accessible difficilement pour 2 personnes! La porte coulissante de la toilette et de la douche était commune! Pas de placard de rangement mais de simples étagères et une penderie ouverte. On avait le sentiment que l'hôtel avait été conçu à peu de frais pour un bon retour sur investissement ! Le personnel était plaisant mais peu dévoué à la clientèle ! Il fallait sans cesse se déplacer pour une commande de boissons. J'ai trouvé le prix un peu exagéré pour la qualité des services et les prestations offertes.

Nemusíte se jako nový návštěvník ostrova ničeho bát. Postarají se aby vše klapalo jak má a byli jste naprosto spokojení.
Podkresová hudba hrála dokolečka měsíc v kuse. Asi 10-20 skladeb. Asi to bylo tím, že slavili příchod nového roku. Ale jestli něco zlepšit, tak toto. Jedna skladba se nesmí na playlistu objevit více než 10x do týdne. Zde každá zahrála za týden více než 300x. A to opravdu nepřeháním. 😁

Nous y avons passé un agréable séjour , l'hôtel est extrêmement bien situé pour profiter de Con Dao centre, on peut tout faire à pieds. Notre chambre était très jolie, le service du nettoyage est aux petits soins et nous laisse des petits mots adorables sur des feuilles d'arbre... nous avons reçu des douceurs le jour de notre arrivée pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue.
Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel, le restaurant du midi est extra et le restaurant pour le soir est délicieux. La piscine est très belle ainsi que la vue. Nous avons été au spa, la masseuse que nous avons eue était juste incroyable de talent!!!!! Le personnel est très attentif et vraiment adorable, très souriant et bienveillant, merci encore à eux. Vraiment étrange, nous n'avons pas compris pourquoi la musique ne changeait pas au moins. Au point d'être heureuses de partir pour ne plus l'entendre, c'est dommage nous trouvons.

Great breakfast, friendly people, modern rooms. Very comfy.
The music playing in the lobby was somewhat aggravating. I understand it was for Tet but it was the same 5 songs on a loop and it made it hard to enjoy being around the pool. Minor detail but it was very noticeable. Everything else was pretty great!

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Es ist ruhig. Asiaten werden gegenüber Europäern bevorzugt behandelt!
Es fehlt ein Kosmetikspiegel und Schrank im Zimmer. Restaurant ist annehmbar, aber dafür viel zu teuer. Ein Glas Chardonnay 0,1L kostet 200K. Frühstück ist jeden Tag gleich bis auf kleine Nuancen. Die Stuhlkissen sind alle schmutzig. Die Sunset-Lounge hat wenig Ambiente. Was besonders schlimm ist: es wird kaum englisch gesprochen; eine Kommunikation schwer möglich; da einige Mitarbeiter weder lesen noch schreiben können, ist Handy-Translator auch keine Hilfe. Clean, comfortable, beautiful location and hotel. Cafe had some superb fresh juices they made daily and staff were super friendly and welcoming.
I slept so well and this hotel was a lovely stay to relax and recharge. Highly recommend!
Restaurant room service wasn’t the best food in terms of western options, would recommend sticking with local Vietnamese food instead. Gym is very small so would suggest going to the other gym at the supermarket.

Centraal gelegen op het eiland. Het hotel heeft fijne ruime kamers, een mooi zwembad wat uitkijkt over zee. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en er valt veel te kiezen. Het personeel spreekt behoorlijk goed engels en is behulpzaam en gastvrij! Wat ons betreft een heel fijn verblijf op het eiland Con Dao.
Naast het hotel kunnen scooters huren. Een E-scooter kan zonder internationaal rijbewijs. Wil je een benzine scooter dan heb je sinds kort een internationaal rijbewijs nodig.

For Western-level prices, the food is merely acceptable. It’s not terrible, but it is far from good and absolutely does not justify the cost. Some dishes do not match what is shown on the menu, and just a few meters outside the hotel there are places where you can eat significantly better for less than half the price.
The service was abysmal. Staff were constantly on their personal phones, not paying attention to guests or even looking up to see if anyone needed assistance. The waiting time for food was extremely long, despite the fact that we were the only couples dining in both restaurants. To make matters worse, staff repeatedly walked directly in front of our plates at the service station. This is shocking considering the exorbitant prices and the mandatory 10% service charge — which was completely unjustified given the level of service provided.
We asked to speak with a manager, who simply laughed at the situation. I choose to believe it was due to nervousness or a lack of tools to properly address a guest complaint, but it only made the experience worse.
There are also not enough sun loungers for the number of guests staying at the hotel.
It’s a real shame, because the hotel has all the potential to be excellent, but the service and value for money ruin the experience.

Our experience was very mixed. There are a lot of positive aspects to the hotel. The grounds were well kept. The pool was welcomed for a cool off and the housekeeping was exceptional. Our room was cleaned and cared for beautifully.
The included airport transfer is very good.
The reception staff gave us a warm welcome and very quickly arranged a repair to our room balcony door.
The location is good for access to the town and restaurants. There are also some nice beaches close by.
The breakfast was passable with both Western and Vietnamese choices.
Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful.
We wrote to the managers during our stay with some feedback. We wanted to give them the opportunity to respond to the issues we were experiencing. However, we did not receive a response until the day we were leaving. They accepted the points made and apologised profusely. Hopefully they will actually address the issues and not just pay lip service to it. This hotel has the potential to be top notch but at the moment falls very short of this. Some of the issues we experienced 1. There are not sufficient sunbeds for the number of people staying. Potentially, there are up to 400 people being accommodated for 18 sunbeds. Paying day visitors are also able to access the sunbeds which causes an even bigger issue. 2. There are no chairs and coffee tables on the balconies. What is the point of a balcony if we can’t sit on it? 3. Staff were using their personal mobile phones during service time when people needed to be served. 4. The drinks service needs a massive improvement. They were running out of stock all the time and surly bar staff were unwilling to go to the other bars to borrow stock, even ignoring managers requests to do so. Big attitude issue with some of the staff. 5. The coffee machine at breakfast a domestic size and kept breaking down. The filter coffee was not up to standard. 6. 'Free flow drinks' were advertised at the Christmas Eve dinner (paid extra for). This consisted of beer (which ran out)or soft drinks. The lobster and wine (white served warm) (paid extra for) wasn't served until we had finished our meal. The service was chaotic. 7. The pool had scum in the corners and a dirty scum line around the edge. Inflatables for the children were charged for, which is rather mean. 8. Ashtrays in smoking areas were overflowing and people were using the floor to put their ash and butts on, which is very unpleasant. Overall, it felt like there was a lack of good management, direction and training.

Nice, clean and comfy. Kind service.

Le fait de ne plus avoir de transat disponibles pour bénéficier de la piscine. Les personnes bloquent les transat en laissant les serviettes dessus sans être près de la piscine, toute la journée, du coup impossible pour les autres clients de s'installer autour de la piscine. Je pense qu'il faudrait gérer ceci autrement

Les chambres et le standing de l hotel sont conformes aux descriptions avec un vrai standard de 4 étoiles.
L accès à la piscine est quasi impossible alors qu’elle est très belle, nombre très insuffisant de transats. Et malheureusement pas de fauteuil non plus sur les balcons ou la terrasse de la suite.

Fasiliteter og beliggenhet var veldig bra.

Hotel je umístěn u moře, jen je třeba přejít hlavní silnici, která není nijak rušná. Nejbližší pláž cca 100 m od hotelu, ale je zde velký rozdíl hladiny moře při odlivu a přílivu. Snídaně bohaté formou bufetu. U snídaně lze sedět venku na terase nebo uvnitř. Personál byl vždy ochotný a nápomocný. Všichni byli milí. Chutné jídlo. Každodenní úklid pokoje. Čistý bazén. Příjemné prostředí se spoustou zeleně.
Zvolili jsme si polopenzi. Snídaně byla formou bufetu, ale večeře byla formou jednotného menu se salátem jako předkrm a sdíleným talířem jako hlavním chodem a zákusek nebo ovoce jako desert. Bohužel menu večere bylo každý den stejné nebo hodně podobné. Na požádání nám večeři upravili. Nápoje se platí, nejsou v ceně polopenze. U bazénu je malé množství lehátek a když nepřijdete včas, tak si tam nelze lehnout.

The location is nice and central.
We were woken up by roadworks right in front of the hotel and extremely loud hotel guests. We had a package that included food, but the meals were extremely limited. You were obliged to choose the same for a minimum of 2 people and you only had 2 or 3 options. The service was slow, we waited 1,5 hour for food.

Nice room- clean and comfortable
Customer service needs improvement especially in the Spice restaurant. Very slow service to get anything. We had to get up and find the waiters ourselves to order. A dreamy hotel with the best Staff. We stayed 3 nights from November 18th to 21st. Hoang, Viet, Huy, Thin, Sang and many more made our stay even more special, we want to thank you to be so kind and adorable, working and giving the best as if the hotel was of their property. Those are the places that we return thanks to the persons. We had breakfast and dinner included, they gave us the chance to choose everyday our dinner favourite dish. Thanks a lot. The breakfast was amazing, with continental and local options... all delicious and made at the moment. We rented also bikes and made a tour around the nearby museums, it was excellent. We promise that some day we will return to that amazing hotel in that little beautiful island with a very sad past story, but with those amazing people in the present that are so kind and adorable. We are talking to all our friends about The Secret Con Dao.
Tomorrow is Xmas here, merry Christmas to all The Secret Con Dao team.

Con Dao is truly a dream destination, and it was a wonderful experience. Our stay at the hotel was excellent, with very supportive and always-smiling staff. A special mention goes to the receptionist who kindly helped me translate for a taxi driver when I wanted to visit some places around the island. Although it was not part of her job, she went outside with me to assist with the translation, which was incredibly thoughtful and helpful.
The swimming pool is large and very clean. I only used it once, as I prefer swimming at the beach, but if you enjoy spending time by the pool, you will definitely appreciate it. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options and choices, which was another highlight.
Taxis are available 24/7 right in front of the hotel if you need a driver, and there is also a motorbike rental just a one-minute walk away. The location is excellent and very convenient.
Once again, thank you so much to the staff you are amazing.

Très bon séjour avec un personnel au petit soin pour nous. Très bon restaurant que ce soit pour y dîner ou le petit déjeuner. Lieu agréable et chambre spacieuse et confortable. Je recommande !

The staff were excellent, as were the facilities and the location. Beautifully presented and kept. Cocktail hours were exemplary- Luan made the best cocktails we’ve had.

The room was bright modern and clean. Staff were all friendly and polite. Location central and easy to walk everywhere. When I had an issue with my room reception staff were extremely helpful and moved me to another room, although unfortunately it made no difference, was still noisy!
Awful piped music playing loudly in every public space - restaurant, pool area, lobby etc. Unbearable. Traffic noise, all the rooms have traffic noise even though there’s hardly any traffic compared to mainland Vietnam. This is because most vehicles are motorbikes and their engines make a lot of noise, also people is Asia use their horns constantly, so you hear traffic noise constantly. I moved room from first floor hoping it would get quieter but it made no difference. The hotel is surrounded on all sides by main roads, so there is no peace. Was on floor two ad floor three, different aspect each time. Maybe floor four would have been quieter. Western style buffet breakfast - not particularly good quality. No real fruit juice. Tasteless pastries. Perhaps the Asian offering was better, not sure. Everywhere there was someone watching something loudly on their phones using loudspeaker, not headphones, this is becoming more normalised everywhere, but in Asian countries it seems particularly bad. Families letting their child watch video on their phone at loud volume whilst eating breakfast. Adults showing each other videos on phones, passing round to show each other, again not using headphones. People taking phone calls/ video calls and speaking so loudly during long conversations lasting more than 10 minutes at a time. This is a nice hotel, but not somewhere to come if you are looking for peace and quiet.

Good place to stay in Con Dao.

Very peaceful and quiet place, with helpful and friendly staff. Well located, well equipped and very clean. We stayed in a standard room and it was already great.

Every time I am back Vietnam, I make sure to visit Con Dao. This time, choosing The Secret was a wonderful decision. Although my stay was short, it was truly fulfilling, especially thanks to Giang (FO) (he told me his name), a young man with a friendly smile and a kind heart. I will definitely come back for my future visits to Con Dao.

In the centre of the town but still feels like a mini resort. A couple of restaurants, a bar, a fantastic swimming pool and a great environment make it a top choice for Con Dao for us.
The staff at reception were very helpful in sorting out the booking (entirely my fault) and upgraded us. Giang and Tuan were incredibly helpful.

In particular, Mr LUAN in the Rooftop Sunset Lounge was particularly efficient, friendly and helpful. He was outstanding.
The noise around the swimming pool. Unnecessary loud music disturbing the peace and tranquility, which the staff did turn off when requested (thank you) but it should not have been put on in the first place. Also loud Vietnamese guests shouting into their mobile phones and not caring at all about the other guests, who just wished to enjoy the peace and tranquility.

Tout !! La localisation est parfaite, la vue sur la mer depuis la piscine ou même de la chambre est à couper le souffle, tout est très bien pensé aussi bien à l’extérieur qu’à l’intérieur, et surtout très bien entretenu.
La salle de sport est bien fonctionnelle avec une très belle vue.
Les chambres sont spacieuses, très propres et bien décorées.
Le personnel est d’une extrême gentillesse, et toujours présent pour arranger les clients.
S’il fallait vraiment être tatillon, les fenêtres des chambres mériteraient un bon coup de nettoyage, ce qui permettrait de voir encore mieux le paysage (et la mer !). Également pas mal d’insectes dans les chambres, mais je suppose que c’est le lot d’un hôtel sur une île !

The spa, the swimming pool in front of the sea, the room with balcony, good bed.
This is not a real 4 star hotel. You need a motorbike to go everywhere except the city center. Far from the beach (dispite sea view). Poor qualité of the restaurant (photos far from reality). Decoration passable and dirty. Non professionnal managers (difficulties with english). After 2 days, we finally meet the general manager who, after a real negociation, consent a compensation.

Mooie hotel. Heerlijk zwembad en uitgebreid ontbijt. Zelfs schuimparty als verrassing in het zwembad. Heerlijk om uit te rusten.
Prijs voor eten enzo in het hotel te hoog voor het land maar wel goede kwaliteit. Wees bewust dat het eiland niet echt klaar is voor buitenlandse toeristen. Er is buiten het hotel weinig te doen. Hou je verblijf kort.

Wir bekamen ein kostenloses Upgrade und hatten daher einen Balkon, wobei wir diesen aufgrund fehlender Möbel kein einiges Mal nutzten. Das Frühstück bot reichlich Auswahl. Wir mieteten uns einen Tag einen Roller über das Hotel, was auch gut klappte.
Beim Check-Out wäre uns die Kaution von 2.000.000 Dong nicht auf die Kreditkarte zurückgebucht worden, hätten wir nichts gesagt. Die Zimmer hatten alle ein offenes Bad, das durch einen Vorhang abgetrennt war. Wenn man damit kein Problem hat, ist das aber nicht störend.

Goed en lekker luxe. We konden ruilen naar kamers met 2 een persoons bedden. Via het hotel kon je activiteiten boeken. Lekker cafe. Restaurant een beetje overpriced voor wat het is, maar er is genoeg leuks te eten in de stad.

Lage top, Pool sehr schön mit Blick auf das Meer. Trotz Lage an der Promenaden Strasse sehr ruhig (die Einheimischen fahren mit Moped und Auto einfach viel gelassener als alle Europäer). Zimmer sind komfortabel und schön eingerichtet. Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt.
Leihgebühr für eine Luftmatratze am Pool ist unwürdig. Personal könnte etwas zugewandter sein, so wie wir es sonst in Vietnam erlebt haben.

L'hôtel est très moderne, et très bien situé, à côté du centre ville et de la plage.
La piscine à débordement, face à la mer est magnifique. La mousse party dans la piscine a été adorée par mes filles. Le manager, Monsieur Duy a gentiment accepté d'organiser une seconde fois le jour qui précède notre départ.
Le petit déjeuner est très varié et de qualité (si vous choisissez l'option petit déjeuner compris).
L'ensemble du staff a été très à l'écoute et d'une grande gentillesse.

We took a decision to firstly visit the islands on a bigger trip and then to stay on one of the higher end hotels. Everything about the hotel delivered in terms of quality, location to the centre, and service. Views from our room balcony, the pool and the Sunset Lounge bar were spectacular.
It was one of those things potentially but there was a corporate event that did spoil our first couple of days. Whilst the hotel did compensate us a bit in the end, it was hard work and not quite the outcome we had understood to be agreed. I would hope this is rare, I’m sure it is, and it doesn’t take anything away from how good the hotel is. Perhaps in low season they understandably want to maximise revenue but they could have been more transparent at the start before taking full payment which complicated things given their relationship with Bookjng.com. On booking future travellers could just ask for transparency if this is a concern.

This is one of the better large hotels for sure. Really helpful and friendly staff, clean facilities and comfortable spacious bedrooms, good on-site food and breakfast buffet. Big pool!
It can be a little noisy depending on who stays next to you and around the pool, but the hotel team will do their best to accommodate any requests. For example, when the hotel was less full they agreed to move me to a different room in a quieter area of the property which was much appreciated.

The hotel is in a convenient location with a free shuttle bus service, which was very helpful. The staff were generally polite and tried to assist when asked.
Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t meet our expectations for the price. The walls were very thin, so we could hear everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway, especially at night. The pool was dirty and full of leaves throughout our stay, and the check-in process was chaotic and disorganized. In the evening, the reception area was crowded with people sitting or lying around like it was a village gathering, which made it feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. The air conditioning barely worked, and you had to ask the receptionist to adjust the temperature manually. There was no drying rack for wet clothes, and although we booked a room with a balcony, there was no chair or table to enjoy it. Breakfast was another letdown—though it officially runs until 10:00, by 9:00 most food options were empty, and it took at least 15 minutes for them to be replenished. My husband even had to ask the staff to fix the coffee machine, which wasn’t working while staff were just standing around chatting. Conclusion: While the hotel has potential with its good location and helpful staff, the overall experience didn’t quite match our expectations for the price. With better management and attention to detail, it could offer a much more pleasant and comfortable stay.

The secret was a very aesthetic hotel with lots of facilities available. The staff were friendly, provided free water refills and the views from the hotel were amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Là resort thiết kế khá đẹp, sạch sẽ, vị trí trung tâm sát biển, gần chợ, có tiếng là resort cao cấp
Đây là lần thứ 2 mình lưu trú tại đây, lần đầu là năm 2021. Lần này ở đây mình hoàn toàn thất vọng: - dịch vụ đưa đón sân bay, đã đăng ký qua email, đã nhắn page, đã gọi gặp nhân viên đăng ký. Nhưng sau đó ko thấy có ai liên hệ trước. Chuyển bay bị delay mình đã gọi nhắn page thông báo, nhưng cũng ko thấy ai gọi trước hướng dẫn hay như nào. Chuyến bay bị delay nhà mình 3 ng bị chia thành 2 chuyến: chồng mình bay đáp sớm hơn, mình đáp sau khoảng 45'. Chồng mình đã gặp anh lái xe của ks lúc đó và báo đợi 1 chút (lúc ấy máy bay mình vừa đáp chuẩn bị đi vào trong) nhưng quay ra thì a tài xế đã đi mất, cũng ko báo gđ mình 1 câu. Chuyến sau thời gian cách 1h lâu quá nên nhà mình đi xe ngoài về ks. Trước đó nhiều lần gọi tđài để hỏi han các thứ ko liên lạc dc gọi ko ai nghe, nt page thì mãi mới trả lời rất lâu. Về tới ks mình rất bức xúc vì cảm thấy ko dc hỗ trợ, bị đem con bỏ chợ. Mình làm việc với nhân viên lễ tân ks và có 1 anh có lẽ là leader thấy sự bức xúc của gđ mình, xin lỗi và đề xuất hôm về cho gđ mình chuyến xe riêng. Việc này mình ghi nhận - phòng ks mình đặt được thu xếp ở tầng 1, ưu điểm gần bể bơi thuận tiện đi lại, nhưng nhược điểm là sát lối lên xuống hầm xe đón trả khách của ks, cũng là lối các nhân viên cùng xe đẩy đồ đi lại hàng ngày nên rất ồn. Mình ko rõ book qua Booking.com thì các bạn auto cho chỗ ở xấu như vậy sao? (Lần trc mình book qua đại lý, lần này tự book qua Booking.com) cũng ko có thông báo hay hỏi han khách hàng trước về điều này. Sáng sớm ngủ mà tiếng các bạn đẩy xe đi lại rất ồn - báo ks có cho thuê xe máy ko? Ks bảo có nhưng hôm đầu mình tới thì ks bảo hết xe, mình báo nếu hôm sau có người trả xe máy thì báo để nhà mình thuê. Nhưng họ ko lưu tâm về việc này, nhà mình chủ động nhiều lần ra hỏi nhưng họ lại coi như mới chưa nắm thông tin. Sáng hôm sau chồng mình fai ra rình chỗ thuê xe thấy xe người khác trả thì chạy ra báo thuê luôn ko thì cũng ko có xe.

Nous avions prévu de rester 4 nuits, et finalement, nous en avons ajouté 2 de plus tant nous étions bien dans cet hôtel ! Le personnel est aux petits soins, toujours souriant, attentif et disponible. Les infrastructures sont top : une grande piscine parfaite pour se détendre, des chambres spacieuses, très propres et confortables et une salle de sport avec une vue exceptionnelle. Le petit déjeuner est copieux, varié et délicieux, avec des options pour tous les goûts. L’emplacement est idéal, à la fois proche du centre-ville et de la plage, ce qui permet de profiter pleinement de tout ce que la région a à offrir.
Un immense merci à toute l’équipe qui a rendu notre séjour inoubliable. Nous recommandons cet hôtel les yeux fermés et reviendrons avec grand plaisir lors de notre prochain voyage au Vietnam !

Tout était parfait : le lieu, le personnel toujours disponible et arrangeant, la piscine, la chambre sans oublier le restaurant (The secret restaurant) excellent et dans un cadre très calme. Bien que le prix soit assez élevé pour le Vietnam,le rapport qualité/prix paraît convenable, au regard des prestations et des autres établissement de la ville. C'est probablement l'hôtel le plus séduisant de Con Dao

Positiv zu erwähnen ist auf jeden Fall die Lage. Direkt am Meer, zu Fuß ist man aber auch schnell in der Stadt und am Hafen. Der Pool ist ebenfalls schön und gepflegt. Das Frühstück hatte eine große Auswahl und die Speisen an sich waren alle ganz gut.
Der Service ist für Vietnam wirklich nicht gut. Man wurde schnell eingecheckt, musste eine Kaution hinterlegen und das war's. Ich habe selbst weitere Informationen erfragen müssen (wann gibt es Frühstück, etc.). In anderen Hotels bekommt man normalerweise eine kurze Einweisung. Beim Frühstück (geht bis 10 Uhr) wurden jeden Tag schon um 08:45 Uhr die Tische nicht mehr eingedeckt und für neue Gäste abgewischt. Man musste sich Servietten, Besteck, etc. selbst zusammensuchen. Es gab Dutzende Mitarbeiter, aber diese haben es nicht geschafft die Säfte, den Kaffee und andere Dinge nachzufüllen. Im Badezimmer gibt es keine Privatsphäre.(das wussten wir durch die Hotelbilder jedoch vorab). Es gibt kaum nicht-asiatische Hotelgäste und so wurden wir als Europäer oft komisch angeschaut. Die Hotelgaste sind ein weiteren Kritikpunkt, für den das Hotel aber kaum etwas kann. Die Gäste haben sich teilweise völlig daneben benommen (oft geschrien, während des Frühstücks die Nase entleert und in die Büsche gespuckt). In Asien sieht man sowas öfters, aber im Restaurantbereich sollte es auch hier ein absolutes No-Go sein. Hier muss das Hotelpersonal durchgreifen, da es widerlich ist. Ein Mann hat sich beim Frühstück einen Tisch neben mir die Nase auf den Boden entleert und mir ist die Lust auf das Frühstück vergangen. Ich musste mich fast übergeben. Auf dem Hotelgelände werden oft Tik-Tok und Instagram Videos sowie Fotoshootings gemacht. Teils wurde man als Europäer sogar extra kurz gefilmt. Leider gibt es auf der Insel bezogen auf das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis kein vergleichbares Hotel. Ich würde das the Secret Con Dao also erneut buchen.

This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to some good resturants and local beaches. The pool is amazing, but water a little hot when you need to feel refreshed after being in sticky heat!
Our room was spacious and the large balcony used early mornings and when the heat less intense.
The service twice a day from cleaning crew was exceptional, if not a little over the top for an 'eco island'. Breakfast was good, with a variety of options available. We especially loved the huge range of pastries.
Con Dao is a slow island compared to other mainland parts of Vietman, so it was just gorgeous to relax by the pool, rest and look at the beach and surrounding islands. You can book tours at hotel, but we did this independantly.
Staff supported us in renting motor scooters for a day to explore the island which is highly recommended.
Booking.com communication was generally very good with quick replies to any questions etc.
Overall, an enjoyable stay.

I had to ask hotel for full payment receipt to be emailed to me, as booking.com did not update payment details within the app etc. On arrival to Con Dao, the hotel bus transfer service is a little annoying, with only going at set times. Meaning, you have to wait at airport both ways depending on your flight choice. Best tip to get the hotel to send bus transfer times through prior to booking flights so you don't have to sit in the bus at airport on arrival or pay for taxi/grab transfer. This hotel is also the only hotel that we experienced in Vitenam, to take a room security deposit (refunded on check out) when you check in, of 2Million VND, which I found odd and not communicated on booking our room. We would have bought more cash to island if we knew this. The hotel say it is for any 'room charges' you may have within your stay. Booking.com 'no hidden fees' do not work in Vietnam as most hotels charge 3-4% on cc payments when paying for rooms on checkin/checkout. Pay in cash if you can to avoid fees.

L'emplacement en centre ville, face à la mer. Possibilité de se baigner par une échelle sur le remblai ou sur la plage à 5' à pied( ce côté de l'île est beaucoup moins pollué !) Belle piscine , et belle vue du Sky bar

Great hotel, not too big. High quality food and really close to a beautiful empty beach.

We got two adjoining rooms for our family which was great
Almost perfect, but there were some issues with house keeping. Once there were no towels anymore, and one time they skipped cleaning altogether.

Very much liked the swimming pool & the position of the hotel
It was good to be able to sit outside for breakfast. All of the restaurant staff were very good. It was our Golden Wedding Anniversary & our bed was decorated with rose petals & we were given, fruit, chocolates & wonderful cakes which were much appreciated
We booked a city view room with a balcony & expected there would be furniture on the balcony. We knew it wouldn’t be an amazing view but the building opposite was very close, that we had no privacy.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Secret Con Dao - it’s a clean and modern hotel, exactly as described in the pictures. You can hire scooters for 24 hours to get around the island for a small cost, which is great. The pool area was always very quiet and calm.
The staff were lovely and friendly but most of the front desk staff don’t speak English which did make things tricky at times. Also, they add a service charge onto the bill when you eat in the restaurant and we found out this service charge unfortunately doesn’t actually go direct to the staff which we were disappointed about. We did try to challenge it so we could tip our waiter directly so they got the money but they didn’t take it off the bill (I think this was because of the language barrier)

Lovely hotel with a great pool area. Room was very nice, breakfast buffet was really good and the rooftop bar was cool. The multiple restaurants were very good too. The hotel had everything you needed.

Location is central and is close to downtown. Balcony view is okay from the room but fourth floor level has excellent view. Room is spacious and bed is comfy and large. Bathroom design is odd, you can either have privacy for shower and toilet one at a time. Breakfast is abundance only on Saturdays and Sundays but not a lot of options on weekdays. Shuttle pickup is excellent and comforting after getting off the airport. Staff at the restaurants is accommodating and friendly.
A gentleman staff working at the bar slamming the cash register after payment is unprofessional. I have a sore throat and asked for a honey sliced ginger tea but he was agited because he does not know how to make it. Staff could use some training for communications with customers since this is a high end and luxury resort. Price is on a higher side compare to surrounding hotels.

An attractive setup not on the beach but over the road from it . The view of the ocean was good and the public areas were beautiful. The pool area was well laid out.

The pool area had 20/30 sun beds but 4 sun umbrellas which lacks thought in a hotel of 200 rooms . Not surprisingly the only beds round the pool taken typically were those under the umbrellas . I had a major issue with my first dinner there which the staff were understanding and apologetic of but actions speak and I was surprised to find when I checked the bill the afternoon before leaving that I had been charged for it! They kindly offered me a free massage but insisted , somewhat illogically, that they couldn’t alter the bill after it had been issued . Implying that I would have been totally uncompensated if I’d left it to the morning of departure . Disappointing. The spa is lovely I had a good massage as an apology . The gym lacked aircon I went in for some exercise it was too hot and the upstairs rooftop bar is gorgeous but the walk through corridors and builder’s finish areas detracts . The hotel was full for Tet when I went to the bar it was empty save one guy and three staff members . For a first class hotel the bike hire system seemed half hearted unstructured and under resourced - bikes a great way to see things

Leider hat das Personal vor allem an der Rezeption nicht wirklich gut englisch gesprochen,was man sich bei der Preisklasse doch erhoffen darf! Das Abendprogramm zum Silvesterabend war sehr enttäuschend und langweilig. Bei vermeintlichen Routineabläufen besteht noch Aufholbedarf in der Organisation. (Salzstreuer stehen im Innenbereich auf den Tischen aber nicht im Außenbereich) warum?

Alles in allem war alles perfekt für uns. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Transfer vom und zum Flughafen hat auch ohne Probleme funktioniert.
Unser absolutes Highlight war das Frühstück, die Auswahl war riesig und hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😊

Beautiful view, the room was a very good size, and the amenities were very nice. Happy hour at the rooftop bar was a wonderful place to enjoy the sunset.

The location is very central, a ten minute walk to the town centre & local beach. The bed, bedding & shower are good. The staff are helpful. WiFi signal is strong. Gym good.
The breakfast was disappointingly limited and was not included in the room rate. The evening menu was expensive & not the best quality food. The roof bar was very dark & with loud music even at sunset. The sun beds around the pool are uncomfortable & need padding.

Ein sehr modernes Hotel, direkt am Eingang der Ortschaft. Die Zimmer sind in einem top Zustand, wenngleich die Wände etwas dünn erscheinen. Alles ist sehr sauber und das Personal ist äußerst nett. Das Frühstücks Buffet ist wahres Highlight mit einer riesigen Auswahl! Die Lage ist super, denn das Meer ist direkt auf der anderen Seite einer (zur unserem Aufenthalt in der Nebensaison) kaum befahrenen Straße. Der Pool ist zwar nicht beheizt, war aber auch jetzt im Januar angenehm. Strände gibt es einige Minuten entfernt (Fußläufig). Direkt am Hotel führten auch Treppen ins Meer. Aufgrund starker Winde und leider recht viel Müll im Wasser, haben wir diese aber nicht genutzt, sondern sind mit dem Roller in den Westen der Insel gefahren. Diese gibt es direkt am Hotel für 150.000 Dong / Tag zu mieten. Das Essen im Hotel war lecker, wenn auch etwas hochpreisiger. Die Cocktail-Rooftop Bar lädt zum relaxen ein und würde wohl einen tollen Sonnenuntergangs-Blick geben.. wenn die Wolken nicht gewesen wären. Das Hotel Gym ist klein, bietet aber einen Kabelzug und Kurzhanteln bis 25kg - man kann also etwas tun. Der inkludierte Transfer vom & zum Flughafen ist gut organisiert und lässt einen ab der Landung entspannen.

Hotel is newly renovated and modern. The room is also spacious and clean as advertised.
Swimming pool water is quite dirty. Although the breakfast buffet does have a lot of variety, the staff fails to refill the food resulting us not being able to take much food despite coming before 9am.

Vielleicht waren wir einfach zu verwöhnt von anderen Hotels in Vietnam, aber im Vergleich zu all den anderen Hotels, war dieses Hotels 2 bis 3 mal so teuer, aber bot nur die Hälfte des Services.

Clean, friendly, nice pool, good and diverse breakfast spread.
Loud music was being played at the pool (and it seeped into the rooms) from 7:00 AM to sometime time at night I don’t even know because I’d eventually fall asleep to the pulsating dance music all 4 nights of my stay at the Secret Con Dao hotel.

wunderschöne Zimmer und Poolanlage.
Sehr gutes Frühstück. Insgesamt schönes Hotel. Für ein paar Tage zum Erholen war es gut.
Bei jeder kleinsten Möglichkeit versucht man hier mit überzogenen Preisen Touristen abzuzocken. 1. Luftmatratzen am Pool muss man mieten und bezahlen. Das ist absolut lächerlich. 2. Achtung bucht NICHT Halbpension. Es ist lediglich ein BBQ drin man hat kein Buffet und auch sonst keine Auswahl. Man muss also jedes Tag dasselbe essen oder extra bezahlen. Setzt man sich ins Restaurant bekommt man natürlich zuerst nur die Karte gezeigt mit Gerichten die man bezahlen muss. Das hat nichts mit Halbpension zu tun! 3. Preise für die Getränke abends. Wasser und eine Cola ca. 200k VND. ?! Mit welcher Begründung? Das kostet in Vietnam maximal 30k.. Wir sind zweimal auswärts essen gegangen und haben für alles weniger bezahlt als das Hotel für zwei Getränke verlangt. Essen ist okay aber Streetfood für 40k draußen ist genauso gut, es ist nix besonderes. 3. die Preise für das Spa ebenfalls lächerlich. Lauft 10 min weiter die Straße entlang und ihr könnt euch 10 mal massieren lassen für den gleichen Preis. ernstgemeinte herzliche Gastfreundschaft findet man hier nicht. Personal eher unfreundlich und genervt.

The space in the room and the bed are very good.
The spa - very bad experience ! The kitchen - the staff need a lot of training to be a 4* The communication - there is a communication in the room saying that the rooftop is closed even if it’s open and there was works in the hotel so a lot of noise and dirt, no one communicated about this The noise - the music is super loud and the staff doesn’t respect privacy

Great location to explore Con Dao, easy to walk around the town or better get a scooter and really explore the island. Lovely rooms and awesome pool.

Perfect location, right in the centre of Con Dao. Friendly and perfect customer service. Vu, the manager helped us to move our rooms close to each other as we have 2 young kids. Great laundry service and restaurant.

Vị trí đẹp, tiện đi đến các địa điểm tham quan và ăn uống. Bể bơi vô cực rất đẹp. Nhà hàng sạch đẹp, đồ ăn sáng ổn. Nhân viên thân thiện, nhiệt tình. Phòng hơi nhỏ nhưng giường rất rộng và êm.

The staff is very nice! The morning buffet breakfast is great! Cocktails from rooftop were excellent (especially Bloody Mary) and the best was the banana ice cream!

Good food, location and close to the beach which was stunning and perfect for early morning or evening walks

The Water was not free in the romm, everything you paid in the pool it was + service fee and tax. Some toys in the water was a rental cost by 30 min. The price for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner OMG.

I would recommend this hotel; it is in a great location. The facilities are excellent, the restaurant is very reasonably priced and offers a great selection. The breakfast was really good. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Very attentive staff. The pool is also a big highlight of the hotel and the rooms are spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and ended up booking some extra nights. The breakfast was very good with many dishes to select.

The position over looking the sea and a short walk from the many restaurants in town plus the close proximity to many of Con Dao historical sites made it a perfect location The hotel had a lovely infinity pool and was very well appointed great staff and very comfortable bed

Algemeen is het personeel zeer vriendelijk, maar ze spreken zeer slecht Engels. Ik had een arrangement, ontbijt + dinner. Het was zeer onduidelijk wat er al dan niet inclusief in dit pakket zat.(Jammer dat ik achteraf een rekening kreeg voor 2 bieren). Het dessert was om te lachen, een paar stukjes fruit. De gym is verouderd (bepaalde knoppen van de loopband werken niet) en 1 aircosysteem is stuk.

Magnifique hôtel très bien placé dans la ville. Tout est accessible à pieds, notamment la belle plage de Lo Voi, les anciennes prisons… Magnifique piscine à débordement avec une vue à couper le souffle. Serviettes fournies pour la piscine. Belles chambres, très propres.

We're really pleased we chose this hotel for our stay in Con Dao. The location was perfect - close to the township, beach and attractions. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The facilities and rooms were clean and well appointed. Breakfast and other meals were excellent. We really loved the pool area.
A very minor issue - it would be good to have a few more umbrellas at the pool for shade..

The hotel is gorgeous and the location is perfect. Our room was lovely and large with a view of the town. The pool is delightful. The decor is beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The staff were all very helpful.

Location was great. Couldn't get any better.
Staff were very good especially Ms Anh at front desk. All the front desk staff and manager very polite and helpful.

Le super accueil du personnel, ils sont tres professionnels et adorables. Toujours disponible pour rendre le sejour agréable. L emplacement face a la mer. Le cadre avec la piscine a debordement avec vue sur la mer. La qualité des plats au Spice Restaurant.
Le manque d intimité a cause de la salle de bain et wc dans la chambre, séparés juste par un rideau. Le non respect par la clientèle des zones non fumeurs et du reglement d hygiene a la piscine.

L’hôtel est idéalement placé,il dispose de deux restaurants délicieux et avec des prix totalement abordables (cuisine recherchée).
La piscine est grande et offre une superbe vue sur l mer et le coucher de soleil,tout comme le bar rooftop dans lequel sont servis de délicieux cocktails (happy hours de 17h à 19h).
Il y’a un shuttle aéroport/hôtel gratuit!
Par rapport au prix payé,il y avait quelques saletés (rien de grave) au sol dans la chambre ainsi que dans les couloirs pour accéder aux chambres. L’hôtel peut s’améliorer sur la propreté compte-tenu du standing que veut maintenir l’établissement.

Très belle hôtel avec des petites chambres très confortables - au cœur de la ville donc très pratique le soir pour sortir dîner et se balader. Très chouette la piscine avec un accès à la mer directement en traversant une route très peu passante. Superwoman Ms Anh vous aidera dans l’organisation des tours! Excellent repas au secret restaurant, à prévoir au moins une fois lors du séjour.
Rien de particulier sauf peut être la musique qui commence à 6 am du matin mais le Vietnam est plein d’énergie positive!

Đây luôn là lựa chọn hàng đầu khi mình đến Côn Đảo, nhân viên của ks rất tốt, vui vẻ, gần gũi và nhiệt tình với khách. Lần này có một sự cố với mình về việc book phòng và xe đưa đón, các bạn nhân viên đã hỗ trợ mình rất chu đáo. Vị trí thuận lợi ngay trung tâm, có xe đạp sử dụng miễn phí.
Khi mình book phòng có các lựa chọn ko bao gồm xe đưa đón và có gói xe đưa đón, mình chọn gói có xe đưa đón. Sau đó thì nhận được tin nhắn thông báo về giờ xe của ks đón, trong đó có chuyến 07h10 và mình đáp lúc 7h nên mình chọn chuyến này. Tuy nhiên vào lúc 22h tối trước khi mình đến thì có 1 bạn lễ tân nam gọi lại báo rằng xe của ks sẽ khởi hành từ sân bay đúng 7h, nên nếu mình xuống máy bay trễ thì mình sẽ chờ tới chuyến xe 9h45 hoặc sẽ tự đi taxi về ks. Lúc đó thật sự mình rất bực, vì có sự thay đổi giờ đón nhưng ks ko thông báo trước cho mình biết, rồi gọi điện vào lúc giữa đêm để thông báo, mình hoàn toàn bị động. Khi mình nói lại về gói mình đã chọn thì bạn nói rằng ks lúc nào ks cũng có xe đưa đón và là xe bus đón chung chứ ko phải xe riêng. Vậy tại sao trong gói để cho khách chọn lúc book phòng lại hiện lên những options như vậy. Thiết nghĩ ks nên phối hợp lại với booking để điều chỉnh cho phù hợp, tránh tạo sự rắc rối cho khách hàng. Một điều mình góp ý nữa là về xe đưa đón, các bạn biết rằng sẽ có chuyến bay đáp lúc 7h và khách chỉ cần mất tối đa 10 phút để ra khỏi sân bay nhưng tại sao ko bố trí thời gian đón phù hợp hơn. Như bản thân mình đáp lúc 7h và mình ko có hành lý ký gửi nên ra ngoài lúc 7h03' thì thấy xe ks vừa đi luôn, nên đành phải tự đi taxi về khách sạn. Một góp ý của mình nữa là ks nên train lại cho nhân viên cách trao đổi với khách hàng qua điện thoại, vì khi mình trao đổi trực tiếp thì dễ vì còn có thể nhìn mặt, nhìn thái độ cử chỉ để đánh giá còn khi trao đổi qua điện thoại thì ko có nên chủ yếu chỉ cảm nhận qua lời nói. Như bạn nhân viên nam gọi cho mình mình, bạn nói thao thao bất tuyệt ko cho mình nói được gì và mình phải nói to lên "em có cho chị nói ko" thì lúc đó bạn mời im lặng để nghe mình nói.

L'accueil était exceptionnel, nous avons passé un super séjour. Dès que l'on a besoin de conseils, de réservations, d'accompagnement, de repas adapté pour les enfants, le personnel est disponible et ils sont très à l'écoute. J'ai rarement eu une écoute aussi attentionnée. L'hôtel est très bien situé, au calme et proche du centre. Le musée est juste à côté. Je conseille vivement d'aller là. J'y retournerai les yeux fermés.

Tôi đi gia đình 4 người, lần này đi tôi happy, tất cả các bạn nv của ks đều dễ thương, từ nhân viên nhà hàng đến các nv khác. Nhưng happy nhất là bạn Lễ tân đón tiếp gia đình tên Kim Anh, kỳ nghỉ này happy phụ thuộc nhiều vào bạn vì gia đình bạn tư vấn rất ok về lịch trình, dịch vụ đi thế nào hợp lý, đặc biệt bạn gặp đc bác tài siêu dễ thương tên Hà - cty vận tải Đức Xuân hay Thanh Xuân gì đó.
Chỉ là góp ý thôi chứ ko hoàn toàn ko thích, đó là thiếu lược mặc dù ks có note lại vì bv môi trg nên nếu cần thì call cho lễ tân, thg là khách sẽ ngại gọi.

The Secret Con Dao is a beautiful property with a great pool, gym and rooftop bar. Rooms were nice and spacious and service was always great. Special mention to Ly who was really helpful at booking excursions for us and recommending places to go.

Tolles modernes und gut gepflegtes Eckzimmer mit Balkon (ohne Möbel) und Blick über die Poolanlage auf das Meer. Spätestens ab 22:00 schön ruhig. Liebevolle und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Wir waren etwas skeptisch aufgrund der Durchschittsbewertung, wurden aber sehr positiv überrascht. Viel besser als manche 9.4 und besser …
Wir waren allerdings auch 6 Nächte.
Das Restaurant ist sehr angenehm mit sehr guten Essen. Preislich natürlich um einiges über den Angeboten in der Ortschaft. Für uns war es das aber wert.

Zentral gelegen. Direkt am Meer. Straße dazwischen stört nicht. Insgesamt ruhiges Zimmer mit Blick auf Pool. Roof top bar stört nicht wirklich, da zeitlich begrenzt. Tolles vielfältiges Frühstück. Herausragende Reisebetreuung durch Anh. Sie hat alle unsre Wünsche umgesetzt und war immer erreichbar- besser geht es nicht!
Keine Sitzgelegenheit auf dem Balkon. Die Kopfkissen waren zu dick.

Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.
Geräumige Zimmer. Pool mit ausreichend Liegen und Sonnenschirmen.
Leckere Cocktails.
Publikum hauptsächlich asiatisch, welches sich nur für Fotos an den Pool bewegt.

Loved the ocean view. The pool area was very enjoyable. We took advantage of the happy hour specials in the lounge. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We rented a scooter and were able to take advantage of exploring the island. Anh at the front desk was amazing! She looked out for us and a couple of other staff also spoke English.
Be aware that this is a popular place for Asian guests and we were almost the only English speaking people in the place. It was fine for us, but just know this in case you are looking for a more social experience.

The Secret was by far the most memorable experience in my Vietnam holiday. The accommodation is excellent, and the customer service is outstanding. I didn’t want to leave! The island is beautiful and unspoiled, and people are so friendly. I need to thank Anah and Thanh and staff who made our anniversary memorable with handmade turtles, cards, swan towels and cake. Thank you
Breakfast was excellent most days. We were there for the Lunar new year holiday so for a few days selection was restricted. The service was first class.

Nous avons passé 6 nuits à l’hotel. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très confortables. Le petit déjeuner est top et modifié un peu chaque jour. La localisation est top et la piscine agréable. Plusieurs services sont proposés ce qui est top.
Au niveau propreté le nettoyage ne correspond pas aux standards d’un 4*. Nous avions toujours les pieds noirs en marchant dans la chambre meme apres le passage du ménage. J’ai demandé plusieurs fois à nettoyer la vitre de la douche et ça n’a pas ete fait, et le nettoyage au bord de la piscine laissait à désirer au niveau des grands fauteuils, des tables et sols. Il serait bon de prevoir un nettoyage quotidien de l’ensemble des communs afin de s’assurer de correspondre à un 4*

Nhà hàg dở nhất trong tất cả các resort 4-5 sao mà mình đã đi, món á mà ăn ko nổi luôn, mình đặt món lẩu tôm hùm nhưng nau lên con tôm đen thui mình kêu nv ra và nhà hàg đã nhận lại món đó, cá thu hay thịt heo quay cũng rất dở, vừa dở vừa ko tươi, ăn ko no kêu pizza lên phòng ăn pizza xúc xích quá mặn 😅 ko the diễn tả hết đc 😂😂

Great overall except food is not good.
In my opinion if you have to prepare, cook, refrigerate and reheat to serve foods then there is a major issue with the kitchen menu, staffing and organisation. Top this with over priced food. This lets the resort down. I have run many successful resort restaurants and private restaurants and this restaurant at the secret has some major issues.

The hotel is clean and modern, in a good location for the town and overlooking the sea and other islands.
The team and especially Anh were friendly and helpful.
The pool is a great size, and there's a nice rooftop bar.
Breakfast was not great, catering mostly for domestic tourists, which, to be fair, were in the majority. The hotel had all that you needed for a good stay. We just felt it wasn"t optimised. - limited all-day menu in the restaurant, no drinks service at the pool As it's a modern hotel with no carpets or furnishings in the corridors, they can be noisy!

- nice and bright room
- awesome pool with sea view, enough deck chairs and free towels
- great breakfast with good coffee
- very nice rooftop bar with Happy Hour
- very helpful staff, especially Anh who organized a great tour around the whole island for us
- although it’s quite a new hotel, it is quite noisy in the rooms (better bring earplugs) - there are not enough bicycles for the guests, hence you must be quite lucky to get one

Scooters à louer par un prestataire extérieur à côté , mais ne loue pas si vous n avez jamais fait ! Donc condamner à ne jamais essayer en faire et à ne pas bouger de l hôtel , à moins de payer des taxis ...à prix non négociables , car c est comme ça ! L île

The staff at the secret are amazing (especially Nguyet & Anh at the front desk). It's a new hotel with really nice facilities and walking distance to the museum and historical prisons.
The staff helped solve this for us, but you should know that there are a propaganda speakers installed in the small park at the North-East side of the building which play "news" from about 5am. This is the side which faces the museum (mountain-ocean view). A few people did complain about this - although it is no fault of the hotels - and the staff moved us into a room facing North-West for the next couple of nights. This room had a city/mountain view and was more quiet.

Es gibt nichts auszusetzen!
Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an wohl und wird im Zimmer mit kleinen kulinarischen Überraschungen willkommen geheißen.
Ambiente und Einrichtung des Hotels sind einladend und entspannend.
Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
Zimmer sind super komfortabel und sauber.
Pool ist groß und sauber.
Frühstücksbuffet mit großer Auswahl.
Lage zwischen Meer und Innenstadt perfekt.

Hotel is clean and spacious. Good location, modern with good facilities. The rooms are a good size and well equipped. There is a large swimming pool, gym, spa and roof bar.

Sehr schöne, zentral gelegene Hotelanlage, geräumige und saubere Zimmer mit großem Pool. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das gilt insbesondere für Anh, der "guten Seele" im Hotel, die immer versucht hat, jeden Wunsch der Gäste zu erfüllen.
