The room was bigger than expected, featuring a wonderful shower with strong water pressure and a bed that felt like a super king. It was definitely a relaxing place to wind down after a busy day out and about in Ho Chi Minh City. A major bonus was the balcony with a small pool—after a hot day, it was so nice to cool down in there. The room was completely soundproof with zero outside noise, and all the staff were respectful and helpful

We got the hotel room with the bath on the balcony and it was actually divine! Great location too, walking distance from the post office/cathedral/Japanese street. The staff were all lovely and the bar downstairs at the street level was great way to end the night! Additionally we had a few early day trips, and the staff were able to pre-box up breakfast for us so let them know beforehand when you're leaving and they'll do anything to help! Amazing service!

Die Zimmer haben anhaltend muffig gerochen, wie feuchter Keller/Holz/Papier. Sie haben das Zimmer kurzfristig mit einem Duftspray verbessern können, aber das hat nach kurzer Zeit wieder nachgelassen. Um den muffigen Duft zu umgehen, haben sie die Klimaanlage auf Dauerlauf gestellt, was meiner Meinung gar nichts genützt hat. Bei Kontrolle der Anzeige der Klimaanlagen, stand Filterwechseln. Habe das Personal darauf hingewiesen, der Servicetechniker hat nur gelächelt. Zimmer mit Fenster ist ein Witz, das sogenannte Fenster führt zu einem etagenübergreifenden Deko-Raum. Das Licht in den Zimmern ist zu dunkel. Die Steckdosen waren stark abgenutzt, sodass Ladekabel keine festen Halt hatten und der Ladevorgang ständig kontrolliert werden musste. Die Lage des Hotels ist für Familien nicht geeignet, abends laute Musik und belebend auf der Strasse.

We barely needed a taxi during our stay. There are restaurants, cafés, shops and bars all around the hotel, and we enjoyed walking around the neighbourhood in the evening. The hotel itself was comfortable and the staff were friendly. For us, the location was definitely the biggest advantage.

The bell staff and reception team were really helpful with our luggage. When we checked in, they helped bring our bags up, and they also helped us bring them down when we asked before leaving.

We mentioned that it was our honeymoon when making the booking and the hotel prepared the room nicely for us. The decoration was simple but very pretty and romantic, and it was a lovely surprise when we opened the door. Really appreciated the effort from the team.

I used the gym a few mornings during our stay and was pleasantly surprised. There are quite a few machines and the air conditioning was working well, so it was comfortable for a light workout. Not a huge fitness centre, but more than enough for what I needed.

The lobby was probably the first thing we noticed when arriving. Really nice design and a bright, open feeling. It also makes a great spot for a few photos. The room was comfortable too, and we liked the overall style of the hotel

L'emplacement est excellent, en plein cœur du 1er arrondissement, avec de nombreux restaurants et commerces de proximité accessibles à pied. La chambre était propre, confortable et bien entretenue, tandis que le personnel s'est montré accueillant, sympathique et toujours prêt à aider. Le petit-déjeuner était de bonne qualité, avec un choix suffisant pour bien commencer la journée. La chambre était un peu plus petite que je ne l'avais imaginée, mais cela n'a pas vraiment été un problème pour un court séjour. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai passé un séjour très agréable et je trouve que l'hôtel offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Je n'hésiterais pas à y séjourner de nouveau lors d'une prochaine visite.

This is my second time choosing Sky Gem Hotel Sora after nearly a year. The room quality still maintains its cleanliness, freshness, and order just as before. The staff remain cheerful and eager to help. There's absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the prime central location
The water pressure at the washbasin (lavabo) was slightly weaker on the days I stayed compared to the powerful water pressure of the shower inside the stall. However, this minor issue didn't affect daily activities much.

As an older couple, we prioritize a comfortable rest. This hotel pleased us due to the support of the young receptionists, who always kindly checked on us and gave detailed directions. The room was clean, the air was fresh, and the bed had just the right amount of firmness to avoid back pain. Breakfast was easy to enjoy
The bathroom floor can get a bit slippery when wet with soap sudd. The hotel should equip non-slip stickers or a rubber mat inside the walk-in shower to give elderly guests like us more peace of mind.

The biggest highlight of Sky Gem Sora is definitely the attitude of the entire staff. From the security guard parking the bikes to the receptionists, everyone was incredibly polite and always welcomed us with a smile. The room was tidy, and the bathroom stayed dry without pooling water.
Occasionally, the Wi-Fi connection in the room would drop slightly when moving from the bed toward the door, requiring a quick reconnect, though the network speed was fast once connected.

The overall design of the hotel gives off a cozy and sophisticated boutique feel. The Premier External room had a large window looking down at the Japanese quarter, which was very charming at night. Being right in the center of District 1 made it perfect for an afternoon stroll to Nguyen Hue Walking Street.
The elevator moves a bit slowly during peak breakfast hours (around 8 AM to 9AM) when everyone is heading down to the restaurant at the same time, so we had to wait a few rounds to get it.

The hotel's location deserves a 10/10; there's everything from Pasteur craft beer to famous Japanese and Vietnamese eateries nearby. The room was tidy, the bathroom had no odor, and the hot water worked flawlessly. The staff always went out to the street to hail taxis for our group.
The power outlets near the headboard were a bit limited. There were two of us with multiple devices (phones, cameras, power banks), so we had to take turns charging or use the desk outlet instead

Our family booked two Luxury rooms, and the living space was very comfortable. The staff were highly attentive, proactively arranging adjacent rooms and taking excellent care of the elderly members in our group. The central location saved us a lot of travel time by taxi.
While the buffet breakfast rotated dishes daily, the Western options were a bit limited. It mostly focused on Vietnamese dishes like pho and noodle soups along with a few Asian items. I hope the hotel adds more variety like sweet pastries.

I was initially worried that staying on Thai Van Lung street would be noisy at night due to the bars, but the internal window room I chose was remarkably quiet and shielded from the music outside. Housekeeping did a thorough job, and my personal belongings on the desk were left untouched.
The lighting system in the room mainly uses warm yellow tones to create a relaxing vibe, so if you need bright white light for reading or working, it might feel a bit dim.

The room was neatly decorated, modern, and stylish. Our favorite feature was the Smart TV, which connected to the internet perfectly so we could cast movies from our iPad and binge-watch after a night out. The AC cooled the room down quickly without blowing directly onto the bed.

Excellent location an easy walk to Nguyen Hue Walking Street and the Bach Dang wharf. Overall, the hotel is very clean, and the walk-in shower had great water pressure, which was amazing after a long day of walking outside. The staff speak good English and always greeted us politely.

Wanting a change of scenery, we booked a night here. I was most impressed by the reception staff, who warmly recommended several great cafes and reputable spas nearby. The bed was incredibly comfortable with fresh, clean linens we had a truly deep sleep
The hotel strictly enforces the 2 PM check-in time. We arrived about 20 minutes early and the room wasn't ready yet, so we had to wait in the lobby for a bit. On the bright side, the receptionists served us cold drinks while we waited.

Getting a clean room with buffet breakfast included at this price point in District 1 is an absolute steal. The breakfast didn't have a massive selection, but everything was tasty and served hot. The security guard downstairs was incredibly sweet, always proactively helping with motorbikes and holding an umbrella for us when it rained.
I booked a budget-friendly Superior room, so the window faced the internal courtyard and lacked natural light unless all the lamps were turned on. If you prefer a bright room, I'd suggest upgrading to an Exterior room category.

Check-in and check-out were very fast and professional, no waiting around. The in-room Wi-Fi was high-speed and stable, and the work desk was well-designed with enough lighting for me to handle paperwork at night. The location in Ben Nghe ward made it super convenient to walk to nearby corporate offices.
The soundproofing between rooms could be slightly better. Around 7-8 AM, I could faintly hear doors closing or people talking out in the hallway.

We booked two Deluxe rooms next to each other. Since the hotel is right in the Little Japan area, we just walked out for ramen and hit some pubs nearby at night, then walked right back saved a lot on taxi fares! Housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily, and bottled water, tea, and coffee were fully replenished every afternoon.
The minibar fridge in the room is quite the small and didn't get super cold. We bought a lot of soft drinks and fruits, and it took a while for them to chill properly.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the staff were very friendly and always smiled at the kids. Our Junior Suite had a spacious balcony, which the kids loved for watching the bustling street below. Thanks to the central location, taking a Grab to attractions like the Zoo or Independence Palace was quick and affordable

My spouse and I booked a Luxury room with a city view. The space is modernly decorated and very airy. The buffet breakfast at Sora kitchen was tasty, especially the traditional Vietnamese dishes that changed daily. The central location made it an easy walk to the Opera House and Vincom Center.
The gym is a bit small and lacking in equipment. My husband wanted to do heavy weight training but couldn't find enough gear, though it's perfectly fine for a quick run or light cardio.

I was traveling alone for a mix of business and leisure. The hotel is located right on Thai Van Lung street, so everything you need is just steps away, from local eateries to 24/7 convenience stores. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were incredibly helpful they even assisted with my luggage to the Grab car at check-out. The street is well-lit, so I felt perfectly safe coming back late
A minor downside is that the area is quite lively at night, so street-facing rooms can get a bit of faint traffic noise. However, closing the windows and turning on the AC fixed it, so it didn't really affect my sleep.

Stayed with my partner, room felt cozy and well arranged. Bed was comfortable. We liked that there were plenty of food options just outside. It gets a bit busy at night, but inside the room it was still fine.

Location was fairly central, room was clean and staff were happy to answer questions. Great value.
Breakfast was ok, but could have been better. The 'queen' bed in our room was two double beds pushed together with a very noticeable metal bar in-between the two.

Most of the staff were friendly. The location is also quite convenient to venture around the central area of District 1. There are also a number of decent restaurants around.
You can feel the springs on the bed and it was very hard. It was not very comfortable at all. There was also dripping behind the wall that was very loud and occurred throughout the night, making it hard to sleep. Lastly, the bag security needs to be addressed. Leaving the luggage with them before check-in and after check-out, the bags were left just on the side and open to everyone walking by.

位置就在日本街對面 非常好的地點 晚上吃消夜喝酒都方便 按摩離Miu Miu 1也不遠 早上還有附早餐 早餐吃起來還可以

Mooie schone kamer, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. We hadden een heerlijk bad op het balkon.

窓がちゃんと閉まらず、クレセント錠がかからない。そのためか外の騒音がかなり聞こえ、蚊の侵入も気になった。翌日は上層階のフロアーにある部屋に変えてもらったので、騒音は少し改善された。バスルームには換気扇が付いて無いようで、外出から帰るとエアコンも止まっているので、その時は臭気がかなりする。朝、シャワーもバスタブもお湯が出ないことがあり、復旧するのに時間がかかりかなり不便だった。

Mauvaise insonorisation Chambre avec uniquement deux petites fenêtres donnant sur le couloir (c'est la cas de beaucoup de chambres visiblement, qui sont sans doute moins chères, mais ce n'est pas très agréable de séjourner dans de tels chambres)

The hotel room did not have any windows(apart from a tiny window that was overlookedthe corridor). The Booking.com listing is quite deceptive. I brought it to the reception's attention, but they didn't do anything.

Die Lüftung funktionierte nicht, dadurch war das Zimmer feucht/klamm. Silberfische in den Ecken. Die Klimaanlage macht, was sie wollte. Die Raumaufteilung ist suboptimal, da das Doppelbett direkt an der Glasscheibe des Bads steht. Kaum Licht im Zimmer, da die Fassadenl-Deko das Tageslicht nimmt. Wenig Licht (u.a. zum Lesen im Bett) vorhanden. Insekten. Beim Frühstück waren Ameisen auf den Auslagen.

This was my 2nd Time staying in this hotel. The 1st time i really enjoyed staying here so booked for the 2nd Time. The location is good. The Sora Bistro is great. The quality of food is good.
The lady staff at the reception during my checkout. She should learn how to speak to a customer. I think she brings in her disturbances in her personal life to work place. My chcek out was at 12pm and when I went to the reception to request for an extension till 1pm, she denied me with the most rudest possible way and also kind of shouted (raised her voice) at me. Other things which I did not like this time: no iron and iron board. Nothing to keep the luggage on. The chair in the room does not have a back rest and the table is too small (in breadth).

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cet hôtel. La chambre était spacieuse, bien équipée et le personnel très agréable. Large choix de plats pour le petit déjeuner, bar sympa et déco plaisante.
La situation géographique est idéale pour visiter Ho Chi Minh à pied ou en grab.
Petit bemol pour la fenetre qui donne sur un puit de jour et non pas sur une cour mais au moins nous n'étions pas exposés au bruit de la ville.

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced 4-star hotel in District 1, Sora is a solid choice. It’s not overly luxurious, but it’s clean, respectful.

A big plus: the gym area has an outdoor space. At night, I went up there with my friend to chill it’s not a large space, but the city night view was totally worth it.

One of the best parts of my stay was the receptionist named Nhat, who helped me check in about an hour early with no extra charge. When I checked out, they happily kept my luggage for me. Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at, their service deserves a solid 8/10.

From the outside, the hotel has a bit of a nature-inspired look, but inside, it’s modern and neatly arranged. I loved the way they decorated the back wall behind the reception. The bellman noticed I had a lot of luggage and helped carry it up very thoughtful. My room was clean and had all the essentials.

I couldn’t find the spa and was told the hotel doesn’t offer this service. Hopefully, they’ll add one in the future. That said, there are several spas nearby I tried the one next to the hotel and it was good. Besides the lack of a spa and pool, everything else was great.

The hotel has a touch of Japanese style, especially with the surrounding neighborhood. I’ve been to Japan and love ramen, so I asked the front desk for recommendations they kindly pointed me to some good local spots.

I stayed in a Superior room for a 2-day business trip. There was no window, so it wasn’t very bright during the day, but the aircon was cool, and the wifi was strong perfect for working without needing to sit in a café.

Breakfast included bread, porridge, and some hot Western dishes. If you prefer a simple breakfast, it’s just fine. But if you’re used to big hotel buffets, you might find the options limited. Still, the service was really sweet and friendly.

I saw the Junior Suite in a TikTok review and booked it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was spacious with a private balcony and bathtub. The hotel set up a simple decoration on the bed, and my husband added flowers to the tub it was such a lovely and romantic experience.

Maybe I was just tired, but I slept incredibly well here. The bed was big, the mattress was soft, and the room had good soundproofing.

It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to Vincom or Nguyen Hue Walking Street. There are also many Japanese restaurants nearby, which is perfect for business travelers like me. The room isn’t big, but it has everything you need.

What I really liked was how new the hotel felt compared to other places in the area. Housekeeping was thorough fresh towels every day. My Superior room had a small window facing an airwell, so there was just enough natural light to keep the room from feeling stuffy.

I stayed in a Deluxe External room with a window facing another building, but the natural light made the space feel bright and airy. The room was tidy and clean, and the staff were always smiling and quick to help. Great location too just a short walk to the Japanese street.

I booked the Junior Suite because of the outdoor bathtub, and it turned out to be super cute! Soaking in the tub in the afternoon with a city view was pure relaxation. The view was a bit limited due to a few buildings, but still a nice experience overall.

Breakfast was mediocre at best. Paid for breakfast for five days. Only ate breakfast once as the first breakfast was cold. Cold cooked chicken not very safe. Loud location.

Heads up: there’s no pool or spa. This isn’t a resort-style hotel. But if you want a stylish, clean room in the middle of the city with friendly staff totally worth it.

I arrived at 1:30 PM, earlier than check-in time, but the front desk kindly let me in early. It was raining, and one of the staff even lent me an umbrella to grab lunch. Small gesture, but really made my day.

J'ai séjourné ici deux jours lors d'un voyage d'affaires. J'ai particulièrement apprécié le calme de la chambre malgré la situation en centre-ville. Après de longues réunions, je souhaitais un espace propre, frais et paisible, et c'est exactement ce que j'ai obtenu.

We honestly liked everything about the property. It was one of the best stays we’ve ever had. The Japan theme throughout the hotel was serene and calming. The service was 10/10 - staff were attentive to our needs, responded fast to our booking.com messages, and always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast buffet was well-varied, accomodating for most people. The gym was also a nice addition to facilities! Location was convenient, being a close walk to all the Japanese restaurants, department store and convenience stores!

The location was convenient and the building looks nice from the outside
Do not expect too much from the rooms. It includes almost all necessities. Service of the reception staff could definitely be improved. Especially the attitude of one of the guys. The bathroom had mold in it. The room is very noisy from echoing sounds from people on different floors. It woke me up several times.

Cleaning lady so friendly.

Les deux ascenseurs "craquent" quand vous montez ou descendez. La salle de sport n'a qu'un appareil qui fonctionne. La chambre est vétuste, rien à voir avec les photos. Très déçu

スタッフの対応が素晴らしい。特に外出する際、タクシーやgrabの手配など機転の利いた手配や運転手への指示を的確にやってくれた。また朝食もおいしく、バラエティがあった。部屋も清潔感があり、laundryサービスも丁寧に迅速に対応してくれた。
繁華街に立地しているので仕方ないのかもしれないが、宿泊客がドアを開けたまま騒いでいるのか騒々しかった。

Buffet breakfast was a bonus
I had a little injury and the hotel had nothing to provide - no first aid kit, no band aids. Some of the staff also didn’t seem pleasant.

It was rather a big disappointment…
First time when hotel of 4 stars is asking me to pay during the first few minutes… I understood why when I enter to the room (without window and full of smell of mushrooms and humidity…) The service at the reception was very incompetent and we had a very bad and difficult conversation at the beginning as we were very disappointed for the room. After couple of calls and alerts via booking.com we finally received another rooms. Better (with a window!) but still the first experience rest in our heads … Swimming pool was closed and we were not informed about it before paying the hotel.

I booked 04 rooms through online booking system. I was very worried because we arrived at midnight, but the service here is very good. They welcomed us 24/24 even though it was late. The rooms are really luxurious and clean, the breakfast is varied.

Room facilities were not as good. E.g. the windows were not in the best condition and the curtain/ blinds are not able to fully block the windows. There were some gaps whereby people were still able to peep in a little from the outside. Some of the switches were broken too and shower bidet was semi broken.

Location is very good, staff is friendly as well.
The room seems smaller than advertised and the furniture looks old. Bathroom bathtub needs to rework as well.
